This converted barn, in a beautiful location outside Seahouses, offers luxury accommodation for friends or family looking for an extra special place to stay while exploring the local area. Wander along the lane near the house to reach the beach, just 1 mile away, or pop into Seahouses (1 mile to the centre) to visit its lovely shops, including a butcher, baker, a selection of takeaways and the village’s fantastic pubs and restaurants. Head to the harbour (1.5 miles away) to book a boat trip to the incredible Farne Islands to witness the abundant wildlife, where you’ll get the chance to see seabirds, seals, and maybe even dolphins. Back on dry land, you can explore the coastline on foot on the 6-mile return beach walk to Bamburgh, with its impressive castle – the seat of the ancient kings of Northumbria – which overlooks the village and beach. Keen walkers will also enjoy the 14-mile walk to Newton by the Sea and back, with a lunch stop at the local pub. Discover Alnwick Castle’s fascinating history, 14 miles away, the location for many films, including providing the setting for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the Harry Potter films.

This beautiful property features high-end finishes, underfloor heating and stunning interiors throughout making this a fabulous place for a coastal break. It includes an impressive living area, incorporating the lounge, kitchen and dining area, with a vaulted ceiling, original beams and lots of natural light. The living room has plush sofas, doors to the garden, and connects to the kitchen and dining area, where double doors lead out to the garden and patio. The luxury kitchen has granite work tops, a large island, a range cooker and a wine cooler – everything you might need for creating great meals on the nights you choose to stay home. There’s also a separate utility room for doing laundry and storing muddy boots. There are also two large bedrooms with king-size beds (which can be made up as twins). One of the bedrooms has a gorgeous en-suite with a walk-in shower, the other bedroom has use of a Jack-and-Jill style bathroom, which can also be accessed from the corridor.

Outside, the property has a very pretty landscaped garden with large lawned areas, attractive planting, a patio area, garden furniture and far-reaching views across the fields out to sea. It’s a beautiful space to sit with a drink and enjoy the beautiful surroundings on a lazy summer’s day.

Second stay at the Half Byre at Westfield. Gorgeous accommodation. Spacious, airy, elegant and relaxing atmosphere. Everything has been thought through so carefully. Super snug and cosy house for a winter break. Very convenient location to beaches and villages. We will be back in 2026.

This is a high-spec well designed barn conversion, with all the equipment and facilities one would ever need. The views out to sea are wonderful, the animals in the fields below the house delightful and theres always something to watch. Responses from the owner are quick and helpful.

The cottage is located in a very quiet position overlooking open countryside with a view of the sea and Bamburgh Castle in the distance. The cottage is very spacious well equipped, clean and comfortable. We would be happy to stay there again in the future.

A wonderful property with delightful views, finished to the highest standard and a 5 minute drive to the local village of Seahouse. It was such a pleasure to stay at The Byre, from the minute we unlocked the door we felt at home. The cottage is very spacious, plenty of seating in the lounge and dining room, all facilities were immaculately clean.Read more Caroline the owner was very attentive, quick to reply to messages, offering advice and assistance when needed and nothing was too much trouble. Although we chose to eat out every day, the cottage is full of the appliances you would expect such as dishwasher, fridge, freezer, oven, toaster, and the wine cooler was a nice surprise! There is a separate utility room with an additional fridge/freezer, washer and drier so you really do have everything you need for your stay. Both bedrooms were large clean and airy and both bathrooms were beautiful. A lot of thought has gone into the cottage, the attention to detail and standard is superb. It really is the most beautiful place to stay and the views were stunning, we came home feeling very relaxed and will definitely book again. Hide

A really enjoyable and relaxing stay, a peaceful location but still in walking distance to the beach, shops and pubs. The cottage is extremely spacious and has a modern look combined with a farm feel. It had everything we needed with plenty of parking. Overall good value, great location and we would stay again.

Our second stay at Half Byre and once again our stay was fabulous! We have found an absolute gem here. The accommodation is fantastic, spacious yet cosy, everything there has been finished to a very high stsndard. Most importantly everything is spotlessly clean and fresh. Can thoroughly recommend.
