There’s also a harbour where you can get a boat to the Farne Islands, famous for grey seals and puffins. Further afield, you may choose to visit Bamburgh (3 miles) where there’s a magnificent castle and another lovely sandy beach.
This cosy property has everything on one floor, starting with the open-plan living area, which is the first room you’ll enter. This spacious room has large windows plus an attractive vaulted ceiling with wooden beams, creating an airy and bright space. There’s a kitchen at one end with attractive units, plus a wooden dining table and chairs. At the other end of the room, the lounge area features a TV and a wood burner for keeping warm when it’s chilly outside. There’s a sofa bed which you can use to accommodate extra guests, should you need to. Underfloor heating throughout this property makes for a welcoming stay. The charming bedroom has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed that can be made into twins on request at the time of booking. Its welcoming ambience makes it the ideal place for a good night’s sleep. Rounding off the accommodation is the family bathroom.
