This charming stone-built cottage is situated in the Old Quarter of Seahouses and is located just 150 metres from the beach, making it an ideal base for a family or group of friends wanting a seaside holiday. The scenic harbour of Seahouses offers plenty of places to eat, drink and explore. Bamburgh, with its large sandy beach and spectacular sea-facing castle, is 3 miles away and is accessible on foot via a coastal footpath. Alnwick Castle and Gardens, the original location for Hogwarts in the first two Harry Potter films, is 15 miles away. A little further afield, the historic walled town of Berwick upon Tweed is 25 miles away. Closer to home, guests can stroll to the local pub which is just over 150 metres away.

The ground floor of this stunning property includes a double-height atrium which houses a comfortable dining area. The dual-aspect living area is spacious and stylishly furnished and is a wonderful space for relaxing and gathering. The kitchen includes original features including an inglenook fireplace housing the cooker, stained glass windowpanes and exposed stone walls. The snug, complete with a cosy wood burner, bookcase and TV, provides additional room for socializing, and the dining room, situated in the large entrance atrium, offers a sunny place to eat and catch up. A WC and utility room complete the ground floor. Wooden stairs lead to a stunning mezzanine galleried landing and the property’s three bedrooms. The bedrooms comprise a super-king-size, a king-size and a twin - all feature exposed beams, Velux windows and TVs, and the first two have en-suite shower rooms. The family bathroom, with a large bathtub for sinking into, completes the accommodation.

Outside, guests have access to a stylish courtyard garden, bordered by mature shrubs, garden furniture and a BBQ. The perfect spot for that first cup of coffee in the morning or a relaxed evening meal.

We have just spent a week at Bega's Bede, 6 adults and 2 dogs and found the cottage to be delightful. Everything you would need in a kitchen was there, no shortages of anything, including a lovely welcome pack. It was a wonderful base for a stay in Northumberland and easy to get to all the surrounding beauty spots, not forgetting the lovely villageRead more of Seahouses where the cottage is in a fantastic spot, 4 minutes walk from the harbour, but on a lovely quiet road with 2 very nice pubs a minute's walk away and we had no disturbance at night. The private parking for the 2 cars was invaluable as it can be very difficult to get parking in the surrounding area. The cottage is a delight so spacious, the bedrooms have got to be the best i have stayed in, beds very comfortable, the courtyard was an added plus for the 2 small dogs we had and the extra sitting room gave us the space for a quiet read and some peace, there was 6 of us but not at all crowded. I would recommend to anyone. What you see in the photo's is exactly what you see on arrival, no complaints from us, thank you for a fantastic stay. Hide
