This elegant, stylish house offers uninterrupted river and coastal views from its unique tranquil setting in Aberystwyth, overlooking the Ystwyth estuary and Cardigan Bay. With large picture windows throughout that allow natural light to flood in, its position at the far end of a private terrace of houses provides an idyllic retreat, with the added bonus of being within easy walking distance of everything that Aberystwyth has to offer. Wales Coast Path, Rheidol and Ystwyth Trails all on the doorstep.

Ground Floor

Open plan living area with large picture windows allowing the natural light to flood in, high ceilings and offering uninterrupted river and coastal views.

Kitchen area - Light and airy, fully equipped kitchen with large picture windows offering stunning views to the south and west over Cardigan Bay. Fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher and washing machine included.

Dining/Living area - Light, spacious and airy open plan living/dining area. Sociable relaxed space with extensive views over Tanybwlch beach, the Ystwyth river and the harbour. Original wooden floors, simply and stylishly decorated with imaginative original artwork and plenty of seating. Extending dining room table, firestick enabled TV, dvd player, bluetooth speaker, books, maps and books. A relaxing reading nook offers a peaceful spot to relax while overlooking the lovely views.

Bedroom 1 - Spacious bedroom with plenty of storage space and large picture windows, king size bed and sea/harbour/beach views.

Bedroom 2 - Light and spacious ensuite bedroom with an inviting double bed and en-suite shower room (shower, basin, heated towel rail and wc), fully furnished. 

Bedroom 3 - Spacious twin room with large picture windows and 2 full sized single beds, wardrobe, full length mirror and extra seating. 

Main bathroom - includes a bath with an electric shower above, wc and wash basin.

Outside

Fully enclosed south facing garden with uninterrupted, stunning coastal and river views. This really is an idyllic spot to sit back with coffee or wine whilst admiring beautiful sunsets over Cardigan Bay.

Gravel garden immediately outside the front door with outdoor table and chairs. Large garden beyond, mostly laid to grass with natural wildlife area.

A very clean and well equipped cottage. We were very comfortable and we enjoyed the wide views from the sea facing windows. Weather cloud watching was a relaxing occupation! There is a pretty well kept garden which is an unusual shape. Everything combined to make an enjoyable weeks stay, despite the changeable weather.

This is the second year running we've stayed in River View, which frankly speaks volumes about the cottage. Being remote enough from the town for peace and quiet but close enough for most to walk to the shops, the location is perfect. Stunning sea views and sunsets are viewable from the lounge and master bedroom. The place itself is well appointed,Read more very comfortable and spotlessly clean, and is a real credit to the owners. This is one of the best properties we have ever stayed in, perfect for the two of us. Everything we needed was provided and the views are stunning. Unfortunately we felt that the areas we had to walk through to get into town were very run down (not nice in the dark) and Aberystwyth itself was a disappointment.

Its a quirky type of place and the location is interesting without being exactly picturesque. The garden areas could be quite useful in the summer months. Easy walking distance to the town.

We have stayed at River View on seven occasions over the last five years. This includes the period of lockdown and partial lockdown. The home is ideally situated for being away from hustle and bustle, but close enough to the beach, sea, valley and mountains for walks. And also near to Aberystwyth for dining, shopping or just strolling along theRead more prom and kicking the bar (dont ask!). A great place to just rest and unwind yet central for visiting some great parts of west central Wales. The owners care for and appreciate this property and area as they regularly make use of it themselves. It always feels like home away from home. Hide

Riverview cottage definitely lived up to its name. Literally perched on the riverbank, the sea directly opposite affording spectacular views. The cottage was immaculately clean cosy and inviting. The notes left by the owners were super informative and so useful. We have stayed in quite a few places but for equipment Riverview was second to none

This property and location was so peaceful which was gratefully appreciated. The kitchen was very well equipped and the house very spacious. The views were beautiful and relaxing. Watching the tides change in the river and the beautiful sunsets were the highlight of the holiday. River View cottage was well placed for all amenities Aberystwyth has to offer. The cottage was ideal for those with mobility issues. No stairs to contend with, a beautiful level garden, easy parking right outside the door and easy access to the town. The views were spectacular and never failed to amaze!!
