Property code: OC-AL123

Situated at the southern-most end of Aldeburgh High Street, Flint Cottage oozes character.  Sat behind the rather unique characterful double-fronted, flint façade with unusual stepped roofline you'll find truly homely, pet-friendly, self-catering holiday accommodation perfect for exploring the Suffolk coast. The ideal base for families, friends or couples to have a relaxing break in this picturesque coastal town.

Flint Cottage is spacious and fresh throughout, there is a bookcase laden with books and games for those potential rainy days, you can snuggle up with a good book or quality time with the family playing board games. The large kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need on a self-catering holiday, but with the restaurants, pubs and fish and chip shops of Aldeburgh within walking distance, there's really no need to cook!

Upstairs, there are four good-sized and simply furnished bedrooms, perfect for an extended family holiday.  One of the bedrooms even has its own private staircase!

The mature garden is a real asset to this property.  When you want a break from Aldeburgh's coastal breeze but still want to enjoy the sounds and smells of the seaside, this is the place to be, with marshland out to the rear and Aldeburgh beach less than a minutes stroll away. Fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts. This is the second time we have stayed at Flint Cottage and we will hopefully be returning again so that in itself is a good recommendation for this property. Popular with us because we like the quirky layout of the cottage and love the big garden which we have always found to be a valuable asset. Also good to know is the on street parking at this Read moreend of the town is very reliable, even though it isn't a bespoke parking place we have never had a problem parking right outside. Not to mention it is only a short walk away from our favourite fish and chip shop and very close to the beach, what more could you ask for?! Hide

The cottage is fabulous and clean ..no cobwebs ...brilliant..just be aware the garden looked huge ? That's the estate agents photos..we thought it was bigger .. maybe put the dimensions of the garden ...other than that perfect location for the dogs as near the marsh walk ..warm and cosy and will definitely be back .

A very lovely place to stay, with everything we need in a wonderful location. Glorious to have the garden on a sunny day, snug in the house when it 's less clement.

A cosy cottage with a great garden if you are bringing a dog or like to eat outside. Great equipment , lots of facilities, beds not the most comfortable but nice linen and towels. Excellent location on the quieter end of high street- just cross road for beach, and near all the cafes and shops of Aldeburgh which is delightful. A fair price for whaRead moret the property offers but do not feel the agency should ask guests to strip beds at the end of their stay, as I feel that is part of the cleaning service. Hide

Very pretty from the outside but a confused and itty-bitty layout inside with a succession of very small rooms. Great location and lovely views over country to the rear. Big lawned garden.
