Stylish and contemporary, this first-floor apartment is bright and airy with its large windows overlooking the hustle and bustle of Southwold’s vibrant high street – a perfect spot for a bit of people watching! Just outside the door and you’re in the heart of the Edwardian seaside town and able to enjoy the renowned high street with its independent shop and eateries. Just a short walk and you can take a stroll on Southwold’s sandy beach, have a tour of the Adnams Brewery, or spend a couple of hours experiencing Southwold’s award-winning pier.

Southwold Gallery Apartment benefits from its own entrance on the high street, with space to store children's buggies and all those sandy shoes after trips to the beach! Then its up to the first floor where you’re welcomed into bright and spacious living accommodation. There’s a plush corner sofa and additional armchairs, a dining table and chairs and gorgeous artwork on the walls, providing a wonderful space to relax in. The kitchen is cleverly tucked away just out of sight and offers all the mod cons you need for a fantastic self-catering stay. If this wasn’t enough to tempt you already, there’s also a snug with a leather sofa bed with feather mattress topper which can be transformed into a comfortable bedroom if required, but serves equally well as a TV room for children for a bit of quiet time.

The two bedrooms offer a luxurious space to recharge your batteries; the master bedroom is beautifully furnished and boasts an ensuite shower room, while the twin bedroom features upholstered headboards and coordinating Egyptian cotton bed linen and anti-allergy goose down pillows and duvets. In the family shower room travertine stone tiles line the walls and floor and the room is complete with Aqualisa walk-in shower. The small window has been cleverly designed into an interesting piece of artwork; you must see it to truly appreciate it!

Southwold Gallery Apartment is a first floor apartment - The apartment has its own private entrance on the high street with space to store childrens' buggies, coats and shoes.

Parking: On-street parking. It is possible to unload outside the apartment, and there is free parking on Southwold Common, just a short walk away.

  • Bed linen and towels provided. Welcome basket on arrival. Complimentary flowers, a locally made cake and a bottle of wine in the built-in wine cooler will be provided on your arrival.
     
  • A highchair and travel cot is provided. The apartment is centrally heated and WiFi is available.

Southwold Central - The properties located in central Southwold are all within minutes of the market place, with the elegant Swan Hotel, an excellent range of small shops including a greengrocers with fresh local produce, family butcher and delicatessen. The upper promenade is ideal for a peaceful stroll at any time of the year and provides quick access to the beach and of course, the lighthouse in the town is a good landmark. There is also easy access to the common and a nearby footpath takes you down to the harbour with the foot ferry to Walberswick (summer only). Don't forget that the beach is never very far away!

Excellent location, very fresh decoration and furnishings, nice facilities and lots of art! We had a lovely time and would recommend this apartment for any family looking to stay in Southwold.

This is a well situated apartment which is very spacious. The windows are double glazed which helped with outside noise reduction. The staircase is a little steep so be mindful if you have issue climbing stairs or have mobility issues. The apartment is well appointed and has some beautiful artwork hanging on the walls. Parking is a bit of an issue Read morebut can be found a few streets away. You can have 30 minutes parking outside if you can get a space which will assist with arrival and departure. We had a wonderful stay here. The apartment is beautifully furnished with some lovely artwork and decorative items. It was comfortable, clean and well equipped and was a fab home for the week. Wed love to return and the location was perfect for all of Southwolds delights.

A few things let this property down. No details re where to find parking, thankfully a previous guest had mentioned the Red Lion in their review . Location in the town was great. Broken equipment was not ideal and did speak to owners about this . Only stayed 3 nights so wasnt rectified during our stay. Unfortunately would not return to this proRead moreperty. Why have the snug closed off when its part of the property? Never come across this with other holiday cottages we have stayed in. Response from Holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. Arrival details have been updated to include suitable parking in the area. Details of parking can also be found in the property's welcome folder. Excellent holiday apartment, super location in the heart of Southwold village. Will definitely to return and would be happy to recommend this apartment to friends and family. We stayed as a 2 with our spaniel Riley, the apartment was clean and well equipped ideal for 4, but could sleep upto 6, with the snug sofa being turned into a bed. There are aRead more set of of fairly step stairs, leading from from the entrance hall which may provide some challenges if you had mobility issues. We really enjoyed our stay in this fantastic apartment. It is so well furnished and equipped. Very comfortable bed, plenty of storage space. Ample comfortable seating in the two living rooms. Very handy utility room. We parked outside to load and unload and had no trouble finding a parking space not too far away (opposite the Red Lion pub).
