Hidden away down a quiet lane in the beautiful seaside village of Walberswick on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, The Lodge is a wonderful, large self-catering house for family holidays or weekends away with friends.

An outstanding feature of this property is the lovely setting, surrounded by a large secluded garden laid to lawn and shrubs, a great space for relaxation and family games. There is also a large patio area with garden furniture - ideal for relaxing on lazy summer afternoons or evenings.  A newly installed outdoor shower will prove to be a luxury extra!

During the early part of 2022 The Lodge has had a substantial ground floor extension added that has created a significantly larger open plan kitchen, dining area and adjacent sitting room opening out on to the patio via bifold doors.  There is also a new utility room and downstairs shower room and cloakroom.

Pub: 200 yards, Shop: 200 yards.

The Lodge was perfect for our multi generational family; grandparents, parents and 4 children ages 2, 3 & 7. It provided a wonderful base for exploring Walberswick and the surrounding area. Near to The Anchor pub the Black Dog Deli, small Co-op, tea rooms, gift shops, village green, car parks and ferry. It is tucked away down a small lane so very pRead moreeaceful. Although the garden is advertised as not being secure we couldnt find any means for our little ones to escape and the large garden was perfect for them to play in while we watched on from the large well furnished patio. The house with its amazingly large kitchen overlooking the garden and patio is well stocked with everything you might need. There is plenty of parking space, probably could accommodate 5 or 6 cars if needed. We had a magical holiday here, would highly recommend The Lodge and happily return. Hide

Beautiful home, well appointed with more than enough space inside and out for the group size. The kitchen and ground floor dining/drawing room/utility room having a flat floor makes it a treat to use and enjoy. The garden is a wonderful space and the neighbourhood is quiet. We had a fantastic stay at The Lodge. 10 of us and 2 dogs celebrating my 50th birthday. The Lodge is well equipped, extremely spacious with a lovely garden. Even though not all of the bedrooms are ensuite there are more enough bathrooms to accommodate. We will hopefully be back and would highly recommend.

Our family (3 generations plus dogs) spent a lovely long weekend at The Lodge. The property is spacious and accommodated all of us very well. It has a great social space for all the family to gather. It is very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay, we felt very much at home on our holiday. It is in a brilliant location within WalRead moreberswick with all amenities within a short walk. It is detached and stands in a large garden making it the perfect spot if, like us, you have a bit of a noisy family! There are plenty of activities for everyone in the area from crabbing to great walks on the beach and the obligatory amusement arcade and pier in nearby Southwold. We would definitely choose The Lodge again for family holidays. Hide
