Located in quiet and relaxing countryside with footpaths and bridalways to explore, the property is a wonderful holiday retreat at any time of the year.
The Granary has been renovated and decorated with great taste and style, with some luxurious touches for its guests, which include a hand built kitchen, cosy wood burning stove and a bathroom with a slipper bath from which guests can watch their favourite programmes on the built in TV.

Entrance:
The front door opens into the tiled hall with carpeted stairs to the first floor double bedroom and entrance to the ground floor bathroom.
Sitting room: tiled floor with rugs, woodburning stove (one basket of logs provided on arrival), Smart TV with Netflix, large picture window over looking garden, two three seater leather sofas, coffee table and side board and a large cupboard for storage.
Bathroom: underfloor heating, heated towel rail, slipper bath, built in TV, WC and hand basin, back lit mirror and shaver point.
Carpeted stairs to first floor bedroom with king sized bed, bedside tables and lamps, large picture window over looking garden, chest of drawers, clothes hanging facility.
Kitchen: hand built units with good storage, electric hob and electric oven, storage cupboard housing washing machine and microwave, dishwasher, dresser for crockery and glassware, fridge and separate freeezer, round table and chairs for four, glazed french doors to terrace.
Terrace: with rattan sofa and table.
Master bedroom: king sized bed, bedside tables and lamps, polished oak flooring with rugs, easy chair, chest of drawers and ensuite shower room wet room style with glazed partition to good sized shower, WC and hand basin, underfloor heating, heated towel rail, back lit mirror and shaver point.
Outside: The Granary is attached to the owners' home which is a converted Suffolk thatched barn and the driveway from the road is shared through a gated entrance. The drive to The Granary is separate and leads guests to the parking area and garden for the Granary which is not overlooked by the Barn. There is a wooden shed with additional garden furniture for the use of granary guests only.
There is a Barbeque platform adjacent to the Summer House for disposable barbecues.
The area:
The cottage is located close to the Sotterley Estate which holds various local events throughout the year including the pony club meetings and horse trails around the estate. The estate is well known for the snowdrops in the grounds in the spring and is a haven for song birds and other wildlife, supported by the combination of sensitve farming methods, traditional field sports and 400 acres of carefully managed mixed woodland.
As well as being close to the Suffolk Coast and nearby market town of Beccles, The Granary is also within easy reach of beautiful historic houses like Somerleyton and other National Trust properties, the castles at Bungay and Framlingham, wildlife sancturaries at Minsmere, Carlton Marshes and Lopham Fen as well as local farmers markets, farm shops, restaurants and pubs.

The Granary has central heating and WiFi.
A small basket of logs and kindling is provided on arrival in the winter months (November-March)
Two medium-sized well behaved dogs are welcome at the cottage but should be kept under control whilst walking in the countryside as the cottage is located within the Sotterley Estate where country pursuits take place. We ask that dogs do not go on the furniture. A dog bath and shower is provided on the terrace!
