Another lovely stay in this cottage. Very clean and comfortable, with an enclosed garden for dogs. Food at the Friston Chequers is great (lovely Sunday lunch), and only just round the corner.

We liked the cottage and the heating was good. The position is great for days out to many lovely villages. Providing soap and washing up liquid would have added a welcoming touch. We were informed that the smart TV had a fault so an ordinary TV was in its place. I note this was also the case in a September review.

We have had a lovely stay in Friston. The cottage is directly behind the pub, which did worry us a bit, but the pub is relatively quiet and actually proved handy for meal and a drink. The layout of the property was perfect for our needs. A decent size kitchen/diner and a cosy sitting room. Well equipped, it has everything you need, from boardRead more games to tin openers etc. The garden was enclosed and safe for our little dog too who loved it. Perfect location for Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings. Minsmere was 20 mins away too. Perfect for us. Hide

No 1 is an easy to live in cottage in a great location behind the Old Chequers pub and minutes from Aldeburgh and Snape and close access to the main road. The heating was super efficient and easy to use with plenty of hot water. The wifi works really well and so does the TV with Netflix etc. Really enjoyed our stay/

The cottage is located in a very pleasant village and is next door to the very good local pub serving excellent food. The beautiful town of Aldeburgh is only 5 miles away and there are also many other attractions locally to visit. The facilities in the cottage let it down to a degree and I would hope that the owner takes note of our feedback.
