Sedgeford is a pretty village slightly inland of the stunning North Norfolk coastline and just a short drive from the Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton with esplanade gardens, gorgeous sunsets as well as a variety of shops and supermarkets. The nearby village of Heacham has cycle-hire available and a popular promenade to stroll upon all the way to Hunstanton and where the most stunning sunsets can be enjoyed. Heacham is also the home of Norfolk Lavender; take in the aroma from the glorious violet lavender filled fields where a huge variety is harvested locally on the edge of the village. You can visit the site of Norfolk Lavender with vintage flower press, garden centre and gift shop and restaurant and even sample lavender cake or pop into the farm shop for local produce. Little ones will enjoy exploring the small animal farm, driving the miniature tractors or on cooler days why not visit Farmer Fred’s play barn and let youngsters run around and let off steam. The surrounding countryside is often best explored by foot with the popular Peddars Way trail meandering the outskirts of the village along with a many coastal paths to discover so why not start your Norfolk adventure here? Inland delights well-worth a visit are Burnham Market with galleries and boutique shops or a little further east towards Sheringham visit the popular quaint town of Holt; an ideal place to enjoy a spot of lunch with a variety of fine eateries to discover. There are a variety of lovely sandy beaches close by, Old Hunstanton, Brancaster and Wells-next-the-Sea to name but a few. Also within easy reach at Titchwell and Snettisham, RSPB site areas which attract nature and bird enthusiasts, offering world-renowned wader spectaculars.
