Birch Lodge is a superb cedar clad retreat, located just outside the popular town of Masham in Wensleydale.  The lodge benefits from open plan living and has a spacious living area and patio doors which lead directly onto the enclosed decked area which is ideal for dining al fresco and taking in the afternoon sun.

The popular towns of Ripon and Masham are only a short drive away each having their local tea rooms, quirky shops and Dales' pubs.  For those of you who are looking to bring your dog on holiday with you, there are woodland walks direct from the front door.  This is an ideal property for family or small groups of friends looking to holiday together in this beautiful part of the Yorkshire Dales.

GROUND FLOOR:
Entrance:  4 Steps up to entrance.
Open plan living: Comfortable sofa, additional sofa bed, coffee table, dining table and chairs, wall mounted electric flame effect fire. TV with Freeview, patio doors leading onto the large enclosed decked area.
Kitchen: Electric hob, oven, grill, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer.
Bedroom 1: Double bed, fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers, TV with Freeview.
Shower Room: Shower, washbasin, toilet.
Bedroom 2: Twin beds, hanging space for clothes, chest of drawers, views over the surrounding countryside.
En Suite: P shaped bath with shower over, washbasin, toilet.

Pets: Two pets welcome. Please enquire if you wish to bring more than two pets.
Parking: Parking at the side of the lodge for 2 large cars, further parking on the gravel at the entrance to the lodge.
Heating: Modern electric heating, flame effect fire in the lounge.
Garden/Patio: Enclosed decking area from the patio doors in the lounge, bench table.
Short Breaks: Available all year round.  
Notes: Linen is provided, Towels are provided. Mobile phone signal is variable. Unlimited WiFi available free of charge.
Shop: 3.5 miles   Pub: 1.5 miles.

The Lodge was warm and comfortable and had everything we wanted during our stay. Location is peaceful and relaxing with the sound of birdsong. Perfect base for exploring the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. The owners were very friendly and helpful

A lovely lodge in a fantastic rural setting. The 4 lodges on the site are positioned so your decking doesn't overlook another. The lodges are lovely and spacious. The living area has plenty of seating and a tv. The dining area has a good table & chairs/bench. The kitchen is modern and well equipt with a good electric cooker, microwave, electric hRead moreob and dishwasher. The bathrooms are both modern with heated towel rails and fantastic showers, particularly the drencher in the main bathroom! Bedrooms are standard with enough storage for a week or 2 of clothes. The lodges are situated in a perfect location for visiting north Yorkshire. All in all a lovely holiday! Hide

The cabin was in a brilliant location, super quiet yet only a short car journey to Ripon or Masham and other local attractions. We loved the druids temple and hackfall woods.

We found the lodge to be very pleasant. It had everything we needed and was warm and comfortable. A real home from home. In fact, we have already booked for next year.

Thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend here. Very secluded and only 4 lodges on site surrounded by trees. Idyllic. The lodge itself was lovely. Fairly basic but comfortable and clean. Location was perfect for visiting Masham, Ripon, Richmond and other surrounding areas. I would recommend the local Ice Cream Parlour and Druids Temple. We definitely pRead morelan on staying again! Very clean property and no evidence of dogs having been in property. Not overlooked by other 3 properties but no view at all from chalet. Very quiet location.

Guests need to take the essentials like bath and hand towels, salt and pepper, hand soap, dishcloth and spare tea towels. Nice location, comfy furniture, plenty of hot water.

Place was lovely don't forget it's self catering so make sure take essentials milk coffee etc. contacted owners as had dove wanting to get in all time they were very helpful come down put stuff out to stop it. Even though 4 properties on site still had own privacy and it was so peaceful. Plenty places to visit nearby in car.
