This lovely single storey cottage overlooks a mill pool on the banks of the River Wensum. It has undergone extensive renovation and now provides stylish and spacious accommodation. The open plan living area is dual aspect with views to the front and rear making it a light and airy space. The sitting area has a vaulted ceiling and wood burner for those cooler days. There is an adjoining dining area leading into the kitchen with stunning views of the mill pool. Three comfortable bedrooms, two with en-suites, and the third bedroom, right next to a beautifully finished shower room, provide super accommodation for friends or families looking for something special. On the banks of the mill pool you will find a summer house, a wonderful place to watch the sun set with a glass of wine or to enjoy a barbecue. This property offers something for everyone - fishing is available on site in season, the area is great for cycling or walking and the stunning Norfolk coast is only a short drive away Shop/Pub: 1 mile

There are steps and uneven ground in the summer house area. Fishing, in season, is available in the mill pool and along 200 yards of river bank, a licence is required. Elsing is a delightful village in the Wensum valley surrounded by peaceful farmland and water meadows. The village is widely spread with a selection of interesting buildings such as The Mill on the edge of the River Wensum, moated Elsing Hall and at the centre the parish church of St Mary dating from 1347. There is also a traditional village pub that serves good food. Elsing is well placed to explore the surrounding area: the villages, marshes and beaches of the Norfolk coast are just over half an hour's drive, and the cathedral city of Norwich is a twenty minute drive away. Closer to home you will find attractive villages such as Lyng, Bintree and Reepham where you will find independent shops selling local produce, plus tea shops, pubs and restaurants offering brunch, lunch and dinner. The area is great for walking, cycling, bird watching, golf and fishing or just relax and enjoy the countryside.

We had a fantastic stay at Mill Cottage, it was spotlessly clean and one of the best equipt holiday homes we have ever stayed in. We loved the location, and watching the many birds. We were lucky enough to see a kingfisher on the river. A fantastic place, we hope to return soon.

Who ever created the mill initially couldnt have picked a better location.The cottage has been superbly thought out is comfortable and user friendly with everything you need provided.The cottage on arrival is spotless with milk and wine in the fridge.Fresh flowers provide a homely touch.The patio at the rear receives sun all day creating a nice areRead morea to relax or have coffee and toast in the morning sun. In addition if you are inclined fishing is available across the front drive.(30yds)As it is the river Wensum a rod license is required , The geographical location is ideal for Dereham for food stocks,the coast half an hour,various National trust properties and places of interest within easy reach.If you have not been to Norfolk I would suggest you try Mill Cottage and you wont be disappointed Hide

Our second time at Mill Cottage and just as good as the first! Everything was perfect, it was almost a shame the weather was great as we would have loved to have tried the wood burner! Fishing was great, lovely area and we've already booked for next year and can't wait to return.

This was the perfect cottage. Fully equipped, very clean and very good information packs, that covered everything. Afternoon tea in the summerhouse on a beautiful afternoon was blissful. Great location to explore North Norfolk, coasts and city of Norwich. Lots of lovely restaurants within a 30 minute drive.

Mill Cottage is an absolute gem - very comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The beautiful mill pond to look out on and the summer house to enjoy. One of the nicest holiday homes we have stayed in, and we would definitely return here when we next go to Norfolk.

5 fabulous days spent at Mill Cottage. Perfect layout for us. Showers better than home. Beds comfy. Kitchen had everything you could think of including champagne glasses and a pizza cutter! Watching the sun go down over the river in the summerhouse was an added bonus. We will be back.

A beautiful single storey cottage, tastefully presented and practically laid out for self catering use.Fresh flowers,Alstroemerias,and attractive house plants in the living section was a very nice homely touch. The location beside the mill pond and river would be difficult to find as a self catering facility and is so very quiet it heightens one seRead morense of tranquility. Plenty of wildlife around with the sight of two red kites hovering 20 ft above the cottage a rare bonus.Fishing in the river and pond another bonus for the cottage.For general location it is central for the coast,Norwich,national trust properties and Sandringham.Additionally to stock up for a stay a large Tesco is available in Dereham 15 mins away.This cottage must be nearest to perfect re location ,facilities and comfort.A most enjoyable week for our holiday.
