Newly refurbished character cottage with sloping garden area and within a short level walk to the Quayside, which offers delightful views across the Estuary to Instow. With two double beds this property is an ideal base for couples who wish to enjoy the delights of Appledore, including the excellent pubs, restaurants and eateries. The cottage is comfortable and spacious and retains much of its original character, including low ceiling thresholds and a steep stairway, however visitors will not be disappointed with the cosy feel and home from home comforts that the cottage provides. There is a spacious kitchen area with farmhouse table and benches, a separate dining room is to the front of the property and the living room offers ample comfy seating. A handy utility room is off the kitchen and access to the back garden which is tiered (care must be taken with young children). The surf washed sands of Westward Ho! with its famous golf course, the indoor leisure centre at Northam and the historic port town of Bideford are all within five minutes drive.

Really enjoyed staying at Raleigh House 25Apr-2May'26. The house was spotless, well-equipped and comfortable. The location just a short walk to Appledore quayside with its cafs, shops, pubs, etc was so convenient. The public carpark just up the hill was no bother. Thanks for a great stay! The cottage was overall good. Unfortunately as it was on a slope it felt like you were out at sea on a shop. Took some getting used to. As the windows were securely locked there was no throughout of air.

Raleigh House had great reviews which is 1 reason we picked it. Unfortunately we were forced to leave the property due to a moth infestation in the lounge. Holiday Cottages were very fair and refunded over 50% of the cost. The cottage was well equipped and had a relaxing feel with all the comforts to make you feel chilled out.We really enjoyed our stay and found plenty to do in the surrounding area , we visited the local towns and villages which have interesting histories. In the evenings the local pubs and restaurants had a great atmosphere

Lovely cottage in a great location. Comfortable, clean and well equipped. Parking can be an issue but never had to walk more than 1/4 mile from the car .

A really lovely house in a wonderful village. This cottage is possibly one of the best equipped properties I've stayed in, and I have stayed in a lot. The back garden gets the sun most of day. I would definitely stay here again with hesitation.
