This is a lovely house in a very good position in the centre of Filey, overlooking the well equipped park. The kitchen has everything a family would need. The owners were helpful and made us feel welcome. This is our second stay and we will probably come again as we know it will be clean and welcoming, meeting all our needs as a family.

Superb setting for us as a family, we climbed over the back wall into Glen Gardens to canoe, play football, putting and crazy golf, and to walk the couple of minutes round to the free public tennis court. The beach too only a few minutes walk. Very very happy! Enclosed garden for the dog, (but the wall could be jumped if your dog likes to escapeRead more!) Immediate access to the park, and blankets provided to protect the settees ideal for the dog too. Hide

This property is in a great location, direct access to Glen gardens from the back garden and five minutes walk to the beach or town. There's lots of space and the three bathrooms are great if you have a full house. All the bathrooms are quite new and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped with glassware, crockery, cutlery and most things you coRead moreuld possibly need to make meals. Much of the furniture is old , tired and the bedrooms are drab. The location however is stunning i would love to stay here again but i would check with the rental company to see what improvements have been made before returning. Hide

We have just returned from a lovely family holiday staying at Puffins, booked through Ingrid Flutes Holiday Cottages. Firstly, thank you to Laura the property manager for great communication and excellent customer service, also to Fiona one of the owners for taking the time to call us to ask if everything was ok. Our stay at Puffins was vastlyRead more different to one of the previous guests party. The owners have obviously worked hard to upgrade the home. New tiles in the main bathroom, lots of redecorated rooms and repainted exterior. The property has also been 'deep cleaned' recently and we found the oven very clean. There was plenty of crockery and kitchen utensils and we were happy to cook most evenings rather than eat out. Puffins is in a fantastic location a very short walk to the beach either through the adjoining park and Glen or down lots of steps and the town is 10 minutes walk. Our Granddaughters loved having access from the garden into the park and playground which is very well maintained. We also walked to the rail station and took a train ride to Scarborough one day. Perfect holiday home for a family group. Hide

Puffins is nicely located and well equipped. The rooms are principally invitingly decorated and furnished and the houses closeness to Glen Gardens and the Beach is a huge plus. The two things we were unhappy about were the lack of cleanliness in the house when we arrived (dog hair on furniture, debris on the floor, mildew in bathrooms) and the factRead more that the major bathroom with the adjacent bedroom were smelly and could not be made more agreeable despite airing, heating and lavishly using Febreze on the floor and other areas. The house also smelled unventilated and unpleasant when we arrived. This would need to be changed asap from our perspective in order to improve the value of a stay at Puffins. We also did not get any refund or reduction of our cleaning fee despite the unsatisfying status of the house in regard of its cleanliness. Hide
