Sisland is a small, peaceful hamlet that offers the peace and tranquillity of rural living whilst being within easy reach of the numerous attractions that Norfolk and Suffolk have to offer. The Broads National Park with 125 miles of inland waterways and channels is nearby, hire a boat, go on a canoe nature safari or find a riverside bank for the perfect picnic setting. Sisland Carr, the beautiful Woodland Trust bluebell wood is a short walk away from the barn and there are plenty of cycle routes around the area too. Being not far from the Norfolk/Suffolk border, there are plenty of charming market towns to discover – Beccles, which is set on the River Waveney, is just a short drive away and the ideal place from which to hire a boat. The east-coast beaches of Norfolk are within easy reach, sandy and under-populated even in the summer, they are a great discovery. The beach at Winterton-on-Sea is dog-friendly all year, as is Happisburgh with its 18th Century lighthouse. Norwich, the capital of the county, is well worth a visit with its two Cathedrals, Castle Museum, galleries, award-winning restaurants and, of course, theatres and cinemas too.
