Heathlands is a perfect haven. It boasts comfort, quality and views over the fields and Dale. The property is a detatched bungalow in its own enclosed garden and is laid out across one floor sleeping four. With two bathrooms and open plan living space. It has been newly refurbished to a very high standard with décor and furnishings inspired by the surrounding countryside. Heathlands is situated in Carlton-in-Coverdale, a picturesque Yorkshire Dales village only six miles from the market town of Leyburn with its quirky shops, pubs and tea rooms. Cyclists can secure their bikes at the end of the day after cycling the many routes available including the Yorkshire Dales Cycle Way. There are Abbeys and Castles to discover along with the unusual and very popular attraction – The Forbidden Corner. So, whether you like a long hike a gentle stroll or a day cycling through the spectacular scenery, you will find everything on the doorstep of Heathlands.

GROUND FLOOR:
Entrance: 
One step up to entrance, through the front door.
Hallway: Hanging space for coats. Bookcase with tourist information and a selection of books.
Bedroom 1:  Leading from the hallway. A lovely bright room with stunning views of the countryside. King sized bed, two bedside tables, built in wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
Bedroom 2:  Double bed, two bedside tables and a built in wardrobe with mirror and hanging shelves.
Bathroom:  A contemporary styled bathroom with a rain head shower over the bath with the addition of a hand held shower head, a vanity and storage unit with toilet and sink, mirrored cabinet with light and a heated towel rail. This room benefits from under floor heating.
Dining Area/Lounge/Kitchen: A light and airy open plan area with high ceilings and low picture windows. Leading from the Hallway. A seating area where you can enjoy the views across the fields, as you warm by the wood burning stove. This area also has the dining table and chairs for four people. The lounge area has a comfortable sofa and two armchairs, Smart TV and sound bar.  Sliding glazed doors open to the front of the property looking over the front garden and views over the Dale. The kitchen is fitted with blue painted units and is very well equipped. You will find a fridge - freezer, high level oven and microwave, an electric hob, extractor fan, dishwasher and a Magimix coffee machine.
This open plan area is complemented by lovely art work, Camaro parquet flooring and is flooded with light through the three sets of windows.
Utility roomA very useful room with hanging space for wet coats and muddy boots a washing machine, separate dryer and a sink.
Shower room: A shower cubicle, sink, toilet with a heated towel rail.
From this room you can access the garden through a door to the side of the property and one to the back garden.
Shed: Indoor clothes airer, ironing board, mop and bucket, broom, fire guard, two garden chairs, umbrella and a garden rug. There is also space to store your bikes.

Pets: Sorry, no pets allowed.
Parking: Two cars. EV charging available, additional charge payable when booking. Please bring own charging cable.
Heating:  Air source heating, wood burning stove.
Garden/Patio:  Wrap around enclosed garden, table and benches in the back garden with a barbecue.
Short Breaks: Accepted all year round.

Heathlands water is supplied by a private water supply. The water can sometimes be discoloured.

A charming, homely and very well equipped bungalow with possibly the best views in the Dales! Loved the attention to detail such as the paintings, hooks and waste paper bins where needed. We appreciated the cleanliness of the kitchen and its utensils. Quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed an excellent Sunday lunch in the local Foresters Arms on a wet SRead moreunday. Absolutely beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean and magnificent views!! Everything in there that you could possibly need, and top quality furnishings the beds were beautiful!! Very good 2 bedroom bungalow the advantages far outweigh any small disadvantages. The view on a sunny day is fantastic. Access is easy even for our large car. All the shops pubs and restaurants you need can be found in Leyburn about 15 mins drive away. The location and amenities were superb. Its the best equipped kitchen we have ever had in a cottage. Furnishings and decor were above and beyond expectation. And the heat pump heating system was unexpectedly very good. It may well prove to be a very expensive holiday for us as we are now exploring installing one ourselves.

Cottage was very comfortable, very clean, all the equipment you would need and more. Such a great location and fabulous view from the window. Amazing welcome pack, including the bird seed, thank you. So lovely to see all the different birds, field mice and rabbits. We will definitely return to this lovely cottage.
