Located in a quiet area of the pretty village of Croyde yet within a few minutes walking distance to the cafes, shops and pubs this spacious family home has a lovely south facing front garden, with raised decking area perfect for those summer evenings for barbeques and al fresco dining.  Fircones is also about a 10-minute walk to the golden sandy beach, famous for its surfing.  The delightful rock pools at low tide are perfect for little ones to explore with buckets and fishing nets.

This property offers an open plan kitchen/diner ideal for those family gatherings with seating area at one end of the kitchen with a TV for little ones.  There is a sitting room with feature pine fireplace, three-piece suite.  Five bedrooms provide flexible sleeping arrangements.  One en-suite bathroom/WC shared by two bedrooms and further family bathroom/WC.  Attic bedroom five has access to the shower room/WC (sloping ceiling).

Outside, the utility outhouse has a wet room, washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, and area to store wetsuits.

Private parking area.

Croyde offers some fabulous walking.  Head to Baggy Point part of the National Trust for an exhilarating coastline walk and stop at the Tea Rooms or alternatively walk to Putsborough beach along the coastal path, enjoy a break at the beach café enjoying those panoramic views and two miles of golden sands towards Woolacombe.  Saunton Sands beach is only a short drive away, also the famous Saunton Golf Course renowned for its 36 holes of beautiful championship links golf.

The outhouse rug was soaking wet and a horrible smell of oil/paraffin.

A really lovely property. So close to the shops,pubs and restaurants in Croyde. Our family had a fab time for a long weekend at the end of March. 6 adults and 3 children. Garden lovely area for them to have a run around and play football. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen/ dining area. Bedrooms lovely. Not sure about the bedrRead moreoom that shares the ensuite but we didn't use it as other room had 2 bunks in for our granddaughters. Sad to leave ,we had lots of fun . Would definitely go back one day and highly recommend Fircones. Hide

We loved our family stay in Fircones. The house is very well situated within walking distance to two fabulous beaches Croyde and Putsborough/Woolacombe. It was nice to escape the crowds and enjoy the garden and peaceful surrounds. We were made very welcome on arrival by Sarah Jo the housekeeper. We enjoyed a lovely week in the cottage. The kitchen is well equipped, with a good sized fridge and freezer and two ovens. Be aware of the layout of bedrooms, attic is accessed via a narrow fixed ladder staircase. Washing machine and tumble dryer are in the utility outside. There are board games and smart tv in kitchen dining area. Dvds, player Read moreand regular tv in the comfortable lounge. Croyde is a lovely picturesque village. There is a small food shop, but no supermarket. There are restaurants and pubs, but booking is recommended. Beaches are a car ride away, although you could walk to Croyde beach in 25mins. We didnt have any problems parking our cars in the car parks. Parking is via evology app and can be as short as an hour or up to day. Hope you enjoy your stay. Hide

I asked 3 times for bed linen for upstairs and each time it was promised but it never materialised. So disappointing and inconvenient.
