Beyond this is the tiny fishing village of Craster, renowned for its oak smoked kippers, produced in the village since the early 19th century. There are easy coastal walks in either direction, linking up with the coastal footpath between Beadnell and Alnmouth. Embleton village is 1 mile and has a good golf course.
