The generous living area is the perfect space for entertaining with its large comfortable seating area surrounding the cosy woodburner and the separate dining area, ideal for dinner parties. There is also a handy snug room, which is great for children and could provide the grownups with some peace and quiet. The fully equipped kitchen is there for you to cook up a storm with some local food produce. The famous Pinney’s of Orford and Pump Street Bakery located just around the corner. Orford also has a fantastic general store where you can find most essential items. Fresh fish is available from 'Brinkley's Shed' and Pinney's Shop 200m away beside the Quay. There is a butchers shop in Bakers Lane as well as the Village Stores in Front Street. Outside the property is a pretty and rustic style garden with view across the marshes towards Shingle Street. Orford is an attractive small town, dominated by the remains of a 12th Century castle keep - you may like to climb to the top to enjoy the panoramic views over the town and marshes. It is also famous for Orford Ness National Nature Reserve and Havergate Island, both a delight for ornithologists and nature lovers. Sailing and boat trips are available on the River Ore,with a launch ramp at the Quay and a summer sailing school for Children at the Sailing Club. Country walks in Rendlesham Forest. It is only nine miles from the beach at Aldeburgh, with the historic towns of Framlingham and Woodbridge and the world-famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall also within easy reach.
