Just 400 metres from the golden sands of Porthminster Beach, this bright and welcoming ground-floor apartment is perfect for a relaxing getaway with family or friends. The beach is known for its soft sand, subtropical gardens and putting green. From the shore, you can gaze across St Ives Bay towards Godrevy Lighthouse. Nearby, enjoy coastal walks at The Malakoff, home to Barbara Hepworth’s Epidaurus sculpture, or visit the iconic Tate St Ives gallery. St Ives’ working harbour is still the heart of the town, and the pretty streets that surround it are full of gift shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. The South West Coast Path passes through the town, and surfers will love the waves at St Ives' Porthmeor Beach or Gwithian Beach (9 miles). Further afield, the historic town of Marazion – gateway to St Michael’s Mount – is just 10 miles away, and the inspiring coastline of Land’s End is 18 miles away.

The apartment has been recently updated by the current owners, combining modern comfort with a relaxed coastal feel. Set within an elegant residential area, the apartment enjoys level access from the street. Enter through the shared hallway and step into your private front door, where you’ll find a spacious open-plan living area. The kitchen is stylish and fully equipped with everything you need for easy, home-style cooking. At the front of the apartment, the light-filled lounge and dining space is ideal for relaxing – stretch out on the sofas with a film or gather around the table while enjoying glimpses of the sea through the large bay window. A patio door leads outside, where three steps take you down to a private outdoor area with a four-seater table and chairs, plus two comfortable lounge chairs and a small table – perfect for morning coffee or evening drinks. When it’s time to turn in, the main bedroom features a king-size bed and its own en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is equally flexible, with zip-and-link beds that can be arranged as either a king-size bed or twin beds to suit your group. A stylish family bathroom with attractive tiling provides additional convenience.

The apartment has a charming, small enclosed courtyard to the front of the property, where you can relax alfresco. Secure garage parking for one car directly beneath the apartment adds extra peace of mind throughout your stay.

Another amazing stay here! We were really impressed with the changes that had been made since our last stay. The accommodation is beautifully decorated and has everything you could wish for. A great apartment! Fab location, five minute walk from the beach or into the town. Comfy beds and having a small outdoor space and a place to park are a real plus and quite unusual to find in St Ives! Would definitely return.

A lovely place, nicely furnished. Great proximity to all beaches, coastal path and the town, just a 5 minute walk. Great to have the garage to park in, best to reverse in as could be tight getting out of car parked opposite. Was a little hot at times and didn't seem to be able to open windows.

Lovely, clean, well equipped apartment close to amenities yet far enough away to be quiet. Slept really well! The apartment was comfortable and warm. We were originally concerned about parking, as we were unable to access the garage and have a large vehicle. However, we managed to park on the road opposite the apartment and this was perfect! The location was great and having parking was a bonus. The walk into town is easy despite a hill. The road is quite noisy which surprised us. The living space is nicely designed and the kitchen is well equipped. We were a little disappointed in the state of the towel rail and grout in the bathrooms as the rest of the property was nice.

Excellent location, the apartment was lovely and warm due to it's sun facing aspect. Post pandemic like many places a little tired around the edges and in need of some maintenance. The private parking is a diamond in the rough as you don't often get parking on site in St Ives. The living room, dining room and kitchen were very well laid out offerinRead moreg cosy evening space and light bright lazy breakfast spaces. The apartment is suited to someone with limited mobility, manual wheelchair and walking frame users would not struggle here. Power wheelchair users might struggle a little but with assistance it's doable, not suitable for adults requiring a hoist or rotunda for moving to or from wheelchair. 7 minute walk to 2 co-ops but be warned St Ives is old and the council is yet to install dropped kerbs on the majority of pavements meaning there are times where you have to walk along the road. Some areas are quite steep to navigate, but the majority of the streets in Portminster town and along to St Ives are flat, some areas are cobbled so needs good suspension to wheel around. Many of the shops have failed to make themselves accessible using portable ramps, however some were incredible with customer service, running out to assist and offering for the carer to take photos of items to show to the disabled person. Overall we had a pleasant stay and have left feedback for the owner regarding the maintenance issues to look into that may have easily been overlooked during a busy peak season. Hide

The apartment was in a lovely location. Central to everything. Very hilly so be warned. The garage is very large inside and was big enough to take off the top box and store at the side. When I asked if there was anywhere for it to be stored they said no. We stored it in the garage all week (not on the car). It needs a good refurb.
