Romulus is one of two converted former farm buildings on the owner's arable farm in Larling in South Norfolk. They back onto meadows where horses and donkeys graze and guinea fowl roam, it is a lovely location for a relaxing holiday. The property is spacious, tastefully furnished and equipped as reflected by the Visit England 4* Gold award. Shop: 1.5 miles Pub: 0.1 mile

Larling is a small village twenty-one miles south west of Norwich in an area known as The Brecks. Reputed to be one of the driest areas of the country, here you will find rolling farmland and open heaths and pine forests, much of it designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and home to rare birds such as the Stone Curlew and Nightjars. Larling is  close to the famous Snetterton Circuit, a must visit place for all motor sport enthusiasts , also within easy reach of the small market towns of Attleborough and Wymondham, or a little further afield are the beautiful cathedral cities of Norwich or Ely. This is an ideal area from which to explore Norfolk or Suffolk.

What a wonderful cottage Romulus is. Everything has been provided for a very comfortable stay. The inside is warm and inviting with many personal touches and as for the view, the word is STUNNING. Wonderful place in a beautiful setting. It was lovely and warm and cosy. Fabulous views of classical English countryside. So relaxing. Durley and Rachel were absolutely delightfully.......and generous, with the welcome food box that greeted us when we arrived.

We really enjoyed our stay at Romulus cottage.The owner was very friendly and was there to welcome us on our arrival. The welcome package was very thoughtful and was much appreciated. The accommodation was cosy and comfortable. We definitely intend to return.

A really comfortable, cozy cottage in a great location. Owners were attentive but not obtrusive. Lovely to meet the dogs and donkeys. Will certainly return for 2025.

A lovely peaceful and tranquil location to relax and enjoy. With roaming donkeys, deer and a variety of birds to enjoy. A nice welcoming gift, from the owners, of a bottle of wine, fresh eggs etc. A nice touch.

Cottage has got everything you need for a break away. Very clean, owener are friendly and are there if you need them. Lovely to have donkeys in the field. Plus all the over wildlife. Nice stroll to the local pub which seamed to be very popular for food. Good location to visit the surrounding area. A good welcome pack awaits you. Would deffently Read morestay again Hide

We had a wonderful, relaxing week at Romulus. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable while still giving us plenty of privacy. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat to unwind, this place is perfect. Its central location also makes it a great base for exploring Norfolk. Lovely cottage with amazing rural views .It has everything you need for a home from home .The owners have thought of everything to make this cottage perfect .Although the weather wasn't too kind ,there was plenty of books,puzzles and dvds to pass the time .Brilliant location to unwind and appreciate nature

Nicely placed cottage with access to local pub and visiting the area. An excellent welcome pack was provided including fresh eggs from the farm hens. It is spacious for two people with a lovely patio area and garden with views over the fields. The property itself was perfect; we have, on other occasions, paid more and been disappointed - not this time ! Please thank the owners for the wine and other treats they provided for us, the eggs were the best we've ever tasted, thank you so very much. We had a very much needed Christmas break.

Owners very friendly and helpful, comfortable cottage with a lovely outlook. Fresh eggs were lovely and welcome pack a nice touch much appreciated. Thetford forest very near to visit for walks or cycle rides.

I booked this place for a little get away for my mum and dad they absolutely loved it, the only thing negative feedback from them was the bed was really hard, but would still come back with their mattress topper! Other then that they couldnt of wished for a better little escape, mum even FaceTimed me to show me how well equip the place was. Super iRead morempressed Hide
