Local food places and pubs, shops etc were all a stones throw away from the property, we never left the harbour there was no reason too. The beautiful shingle sand beach was a 5 min walk from the house to sit and watch the world go by. The Harbor was so clean and tidy, friendly locals too. The sea is so clear you could see the bottom of the harbour when the tide went out. It was very dog friendly with the enclosed front patio, our dog loved watching everything that was going on. Hide

You couldnt find a more beautiful view anywhere in Cornwall . We had the best time sitting on our patio watching the comings and goings in the harbour below. Already booked for next year.

The location is fantastic, right on the harbour with excellent views, and with the convenience of parking on the side of the harbour below. The 30 steps up to the cottage would be tricky for the elderly, but that extra elevation made the views better. The level of equipment is great, better than anticipated. Great stay, beautiful view. We have stayed many of times in Porthleven and this has got to be one of our favourite cottages. Having a morning coffee to a evening wine on the front watching the waves was one of our favourite parts of this stay. Thank you, The Gilbert's

The property wasnt 5 star a few faults.. eg wobbly toilet seat, shower that tended to over flow ( poor drainage, kept having to use plunger). Looks a little tired in places generally. The double bed however was extremely comfortable! Slept really well. Great location too.
