Schooners is a ground floor apartment located in the Bluestone Point building on the edge of Mortehoe Village. This area renowned for its rugged coastal paths and breathtaking scenery is a walker/cyclists paradise. The village of Mortehoe is only a short stroll from the apartment and offers a post office stores, two pubs -both serving food, tea rooms and Mortehoe museum full of interesting facts about the local area. Five steps lead up to the communal front entrance, but once inside this spacious apartment everything is on one level. The open plan living/kitchen/dining area offers a great space for families to get together whether you are preparing lunch or watching TV. Patio doors open onto the front balcony where distant sea views can be seen. The well equipped kitchen area has all you need for a home from home holiday experience, with a door out to the high walled fully enclosed patio area, great for storing surfboards or bikes. The two attractive bedrooms lead off the hallway, the master king size room has patio doors to the front balcony, as well as its own ensuite shower room with wc and basin. The twin room has access to the back walled patio area and shared use of the family bathroom with shower over the bath, wc and basin. As well as access to the beaches around Mortehoe including Rockham, Grunta and Barricane a short drive will bring you to the seaside town of Woolacombe with its vast expanse of sandy beach and rolling waves. Exmoor National Park is also a scenic drive away as are the picturesque twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth, where you can enjoy shopping, cafes or just an ice cream!

We stayed here for a week during May half term. By the end of my holidays I usually cannot wait to come back home to my own comfort. But not this time! We really felt right at home! The apartment is located in beautiful Mortehoe, as somebody who travels to Mortehoe for work frequently and have stayed in many places previously I choose this one as it has parking and many positive features. The apartment itself was very clean and welcoming. We had an issue with a broken shower head which was sorted very quickly and given it was Read morea bank holiday weekend we appreciated the fast turn around. The only downside was the smell of the hot water which was unbearable. They did have the water company out but this did not seem to lead anything. The water did improve after leaving hot taps on for a long period of time but did return suggesting an issue with the water tank or an internal issue. I hope this is something that is resolved as it really did let the apartment down. However other than that it was a lovely clean place to stay with lots of home comforts Hide

There is no WiFi or phone connection at this property. We stayed here and found the lack of WiFi a major issue and it ruined our stay. If you are thinking of booking make sure that they have got it sorted. We have stayed in one of the other holiday flats in the building and had no problems with WiFi so we know that it is not a location problem. This is a well appointed flat in a lovely location with the huge advantage of a parking space. The WiFi can struggle and watching Netflix was not really possible, but with so many beautiful beaches a short drive away, there is plenty else to do!

Well appointed and comfortable apartment with parking. We enjoyed our stay at Schooners in Mortehoe. The property is a ten minute walk downhill to the village which has two pubs, an excellent Bistro, a fish and chip shop and a take away business. There is also an excellent tea room opposite the church. Just up from the property is a very convenienRead moret farm shop on the North Morte Farm site. We found the wi fi signal for the internet and tv was a bit intermittent but this didn't have too much impact as we were busy walking or visiting the local attractions. Hide

Apartment 1 is very well equipped, however, the external areas are poor and in need of a clean up. Bed mattresses & pillows have seen better days and could do with being replaced.

A thoroughly comfortable and cosy apartment. Just a few minutes walk from the village shop, 2 pubs and a very nice bistro. Great walks around the cliffs and inlets nearby.

I had a wonderful stay at Schooners. The property was clean, warm, well equipped and had everything I could have wanted for my stay. The property was easily found, and the big parking space right outside was perfect. The weather was great for walking the coast path in November and the bus service from the post office made it fairly easy for meRead more to get around without needing to drive. The Chichester Arms down the road had friendly staff and did some lovely food. WiFi was a little poor at times but that is the only very tiny negative I had of the property. I would certainly stay at Schooners again if I return to area. Hide

Nice size warm & comfy flat No views to speak of. Most of the rooms have fire doors which take a moment to open & seem to bang shut, I am glad no one else was in our section as sure you would have heard these doors shutting

Apartment is in an excellent location and parking spaces are alotted per flat. Apartment is large and spacious and very comfortable. Only criticism is both back yard and terrace are in need of a good clean.

Lovely accommodation. Very comfortable , homely and well equipped. Very spacious. Only a short walk into the Village, we loved Mortehoe and the locals made us most welcome. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely property. Was very clean and well equipped with plenty of space, storage and an outside line to hang wet towels etc. Instruction booklet for apartment was a great help. Welcome gifts were lovely. Easy walk to village centre and to coastal paths.
