The market town of Helmsley is just 13 miles away with traditional pubs, boutique shops and cafes as well as its medieval castle, National Centre for Birds of Prey and Duncombe Park. Plus the historic sights of Appleforth Abbey, Rievaulx Abbey and Byland Abbey are all close by and definitely worth a visit.
