Wells-next-the-Sea is a lively coastal town on the North Norfolk coast. With its fine, sandy beach, iconic beach huts and bordered by pine woodlands, it offers a playground for young and old alike, there is even a small gauge railway that will take you down to the beach if you don't fancy the stroll. At the harbour you can see the small fishing fleet unload its daily catch and the quayside is also popular with children, fishing for crabs. There is an eclectic variety of boutique shops, cafes, pubs and tea rooms to browse, with not a chain store in sight and The Buttlands is a lovely part of the town with a tree lined green, fine Georgian houses, pub and restaurant. Fishing trips, sailing, tennis, a swimming pool and fitness centre and the Wells to Walsingham light railway are all within easy reach and for something totally unique, why not take an Alpaca for a walk across the marshes! Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with the North Norfolk Coastal path running directly through the town you may not wish to wander far but other delights near to hand include Holkham Hall, Burnham Market and its sister villages, Brancaster, Cley-next-the-Sea and Stiffkey to name just a few..
