Wells-next-the-Sea is a lively coastal town on the North Norfolk coast. With its fine, sandy beach, iconic beach huts and bordered by pine woodlands, it offers a playground for young and old alike, there is even a small gauge railway that will take you down to the beach if you don't fancy the stroll. At the harbour you can see the small fishing fleet unload its daily catch and the quayside is also popular with children, fishing for crabs. There is an eclectic variety of boutique shops, cafes, pubs and tea rooms to browse, with not a chain store in sight and The Buttlands is a lovely part of the town with a tree lined green, fine Georgian houses, pub and restaurant. Fishing trips, sailing, tennis, a swimming pool and fitness centre and the Wells to Walsingham light railway are all within easy reach and for something totally unique, why not take an Alpaca for a walk across the marshes! Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and with the North Norfolk Coastal path running directly through the town you may not wish to wander far but other delights near to hand include Holkham Hall, Burnham Market and its sister villages, Brancaster, Cley-next-the-Sea and Stiffkey to name just a few..

A lovely house with plenty of space and real charm. Perfectly placed in Wells-next-the-Sea which has everything - good pubs, cafes and shops - along with great walks from your doorstep.

Lovely house in a great location close to the sea and with good amenities in the town. We loved the walk down the gravel track through the pines to the beach. The garden is absolutely fabulous and great on the days when the weather was warm enough to have meals outside. The path to Holkham was also lovely and our 4 and 6 year old were both able toRead more cycle it - the 6 year old also loved the ropes course there. Hide

The house was beautiful and for the most part very well equipped. There were however a few issues that may need to be taken into account for future. Firstly the chest of drawers in the twin room and one of the double rooms were quite dangerous as they were wobbly and not attached. On our first day my 4 year old went to open one of the drawers and iRead moret fell forward. Fortunately I was there to catch it so she wasnt hurt. Secondly, my mother has some mobility issues and there are quite a few uneven floors and small steps around the property. Obviously this cant be helped but it might be worth mentioning on the advert for the property so that people can consider this. Overall we had a lovely stay but I do think these issues need to be addressed in the future. Hide
