Outside: Garden area laid to lawn with patio and furniture. The garden is having work done to it in early 2019 so may not look at its' best for winter 2018.

Notes: WiFi, heating and towels provided. The cottage has character and as such, some ceilings are slightly lower and the stairs may be unsuitable for the infirm. Please note, the private access road to the cottage is not maintained by the council and may be sandy. Crystal clear pure water drinking water is obtained via a dedicated tap from our own on-site well. Other taps may appear slightly cloudy but are filtered and certified regularly by a professional.

Marsh View sits in an enviable position on the cusp of Aldeburgh and Friston. Friston village has a large central green with many footpaths around the village. Just four miles away is the famous RSPB sanctuary at Minsmere. Snape Maltings is just three mile away, a waterside venue for unique speciality shops and the famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall. Snape Maltings offers good food and unique walks alongside reed beds and the tidal estuary. Aldeburgh and the surrounding area has inspired many authors and poets in the past but the most famous son of the town is Benjamin Britten, who founded the Aldeburgh Music Festival, which now has worldwide acclaim and is held every year in June at Snape Maltings. Fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts. The wide, mainly Georgian high street has many attractive buildings whilst the seafront properties all have commanding views of the beach and the North Sea. Boating is popular on the nearby Alde estuary where a large variety of yachts can be seen at summer weekends.
