Lovely property, quite central and well equipped. The extra towels (also for the kitchen) can be found in the middle bedroom wardrobe. We only found these at the end of the week, so ended up buying new tea towels and hand towels for the kitchen. Also take extra bin bags as there were 6 of us, but only 1 bin bag for the week. Would stay at the propeRead morerty again. Hide

First feeling is how quirky yet spacious this property is. Found everything comfortable, had no issues with making any of the equipment work. The location is great, despite being close to Scarborough it is in a very quiet area with no traffic, vehicle or pedestrian, other than the local residents. The courtyard can take 2 vehicles but it is a bit oRead moref a palaver if one is a large 4 x 4. That leads on to my final point. There is internal access to a garage and being tired from the journey we made the false assumption that the key fob was for that which is why we parked both cars in the courtyard to avoid a possible fine. It was only after having a cuppa and reading the instructions again that we went outside and tried again, to see the door on the next garage rise to display an very decent sized garage, no problem getting my 4 x 4 in there. We found Mews Cottage very roomy and comfortable. Lovely bed and bedding. Being able to close the gates and let our little dog sit out was a bonus. Mrs S found the staircase very difficult quite steep and short treads, not easy for the elderly. Local area is quite rundown but is central for all Scarborough attractions.

A lovely cottage with plenty of room for 6 of us. Equipment provided was extensive plus a variety of games and books were available. It was fantastic to get parking, such a plus. Everything was clean and tidy.

Very spacious and well equipped. Ideal for larger groups as 2 showers and 3 toilets meant no queuing required! Good for exploring Scarborough as beach and town centre within walking distance though on the quieter side of town so need a car if looking to go out to a pub or for a meal in the evening. Parking for a SUV in the courtyard/garage is a bitRead more tight but free around the green in Oriel Crescent otherwise (Did not see any signs to the contrary and I managed to not get a ticket for the couple of days I was parked there!).
