Property code: OC-RENCOT

Get away from it all at this tranquil picture-book property, once the home of a local fisherman and coxswain on the village lifeboat. Cadgwith is a lively village with a friendly pub, shop, renowned seafood store where you can buy the catch of the day and galleries, all under 0.25 miles. Walk the coast path to Lizard Point (4 miles), the most southerly point of mainland Britain, and visit the famous twin-tower lighthouse, built to warn ships of the treacherous rocks around this rugged coastline. It is now a fascinating heritage centre. Look out for basking sharks, often seen in these waters. Picturesque Mullion Cove (6 miles) and the pretty fishing village of Coverack (8 miles) are within easy reach too. Meet orphaned and injured seals at feeding time, along with penguins and a trio of beavers at Gweek seal sanctuary (10 miles).

On entering the cottage there is a handy kitchen and two steps down to the charming living room/diner with beams, a sofa, wood burner, dining table and chairs. A winding wooden staircase with rope handrail leads to a pretty double bedroom and bathroom with a shower over the corner bath and WC.

There is no outside space at this property. However the beach is a very short walk away and many of the Lizard’s great visitor attractions are an easy drive away.

Lovely cottage, full of character . Only a few mins to the lovely cove. Ideal stay for a couple etc, and our little dog loved it !. The area is amazing, with lovely walks close by, especially the coast path walks !!. The cottage has everything you need, ( although for our stay the Hairdryer was missing). The shower and bath had lovely hot water. Read more The parking is a bit tight, but I appreciate it is a bonus in this village, but it is only suitable for smaller cars. Overall though we had a truly memorable holiday, and I think we could be coming back !!. Hide
