This is not a 4 star property. Old thin towels and only 2 bath towels supplied in a 6 person accommodation. No drying machine so if you want to wash the towels they won't be dry for when you need them next. No dishwasher so cutlery and pots are air dried and look as if they need washing again. Carpets and particularly rugs are filthy, I took photosRead more and sent them to the owner, this is a self managed cottage so she would already be aware. Mould all round the shower tray. No plug in the upstairs sink and looking down the hole made me gag. We knew stairs would be steep but these are treacherous and there needs to be a permanent door of some sort at the top. Freezer was turned off. The place needs redecorating and a thorough deep clean and rugs/carpets replaced. We came back mid way through the holiday due to these conditions. Owner has been informed. Perfectly located on a quiet street and only a short walk from the town centre. Really clean and well equipped with everything thought of. Everything was appropriate for sleeping up to 6 guests. The welcoming gift was really thoughtful.

Excellent location. Great having parking on site. Welcome pack was a lovely touch. Beds very comfortable. After climbing the steep stairs on first day, you do get used to them. Sarah was kept us informed of any information we needed to know.

A really good property in a perfect location: quiet but close to all of the amenities as well. Well looked after and a perfect choice for a holiday in that part of North Norfolk. Well looked after, and we would certainly be looking to stay there again.

Great accommodation, perfect location within Holt, great garden for my dog, lots of nice places to walk with the dog within walking distance, very clean and had all the amenities, really liked the conservatory, as we went in September so the nights got a bit chilly and it was nice to sit in their before dinner.

Archies is a beautiful, clean and comfortable cottage well situated to explore Holt and the surrounding area. On arrival, we were greeted with wine, local biscuits and a tub of sweets that went down very well. Off street parking was also a big bonus. Our only note of caution are the stairs as they are very steep. This was well documented ahead of Read morearrival but we hadnt quite appreciated just how steep until we got there. Hide

We had a really great holiday at Archies. The location in Holt is ideal for the local shops, cafes and bars. The house is warm and accommodating with well laid out features such as the conservatory as well as a good inventory of equipment for the rooms. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable, clean and well equipped house and kitchen, good beds and storage in bedrooms. Cosy little conservatory with four comfy chairs was a bonus. Archie's is in the perfect location, just a short walk to many independent local shops and fish and chip shops.
