Great size cottage with all resources needed. Fantastic location with Leyburn nearby! All linen for bed and bath were good quality too. We though Myrtle Cottage just needs a little love and a spring clean now as it is beginning to look tired in places. We were very lucky with the weather:)

The cottage is lovely and spacious. Great having the 2 eating areas. Plenty of cooking utensils. Great size tv in the living room as everybody could see it after being out for the day to chill on one of the 3 sofas. Plenty of walks for the dog from the doorstep. Cottage was in a good location in a beautiful village, while there is a pub very close by unfortunately it does not serve food and its hours are little erratic. Parking for two big cars although getting in and out needed care for manoeuvering. Cottage in itself comfortable and well equipped rooms spacious. Very useful having one room with its own shRead moreower and the other sole access to the bathroom. its a very good location for visiting the Dales and larger towns in whichever direction you choose. Cottage is in a beautiful location and is very spacious. It would benefit from a make over in the bedroom's with larger more comfortable beds.

A very spacious cottage, with the benefit of off road parking. Good quality furniture in all rooms, and the beds are very comfy and cosy. The heating is very efficient, and the cottage was never cold. The electric wood burning effect stove has been removed though. Also note, the washing machine, recently replaced, is not a washer/dryer. A generouRead mores quantity of teabags, coffee bags and biscuits was supplied, but bring your own milk as there are only two very tiny bottles of milk, ie miniature whiskey bottle-size. A rarity in self catering properties; the towels are proper sized bath sheets unlike the small bath towels provided in many cottages. Good wifi connection. All in all, a good choice for larger parties, with good sized bedrooms and lots of clothes storage space. As it sleeps six, and we were just two, it can work out fairly expensive for a couple but we would return if there was a special offer. Hide

The cottage was in an ideal location for driving out to the surrounding villages and towns with Leyburn only 1.5 - 2 miles away for any shopping, eating drinking. It was very spacious enough inside with the lounge having 3 settees for us all to sit on ( 5 people) with also a large dining room and table in the next room with a joining door for the kRead moreitchen. The cottage was very warm which we were grateful for after the icy temperatures outside. The bedrooms were also all large enough to move around in comfort and also with a large family bathroom upstairs as well as the en-suite in one of the bedrooms. The small toilet under stairs also came in very handy. The parking at the rear is big enough for 3 cars and is only approximately 15 feet from the back door for unloading all your items, suitcases or shopping. We all enjoyed our stay here with everyone we met being very friendly towards us including the villagers in the local pub "The Cross Keys". Hide

Great cottage with plenty of space. Garden area is not enclosed so can be tricky if you don't have well behaved dogs. Great location for walking etc. Kitchen is well equipped and spacious. We were three ladies and a young baby with two dogs and we had a wonderful week.

A well appointed & comfortable cottage in an idyllic village. It enjoys off-road parking & has a pleasant patio seating area, However it is beside a busy main road & suffers from the attendant traffic noise, especially in a morning. Inside, the property is a little bit gloomy.

Lovely, well equipped, comfortable cottage with off road parking. It is on the main road, with a surprisingly noisy early morning rush hour. For those with mobility issues, there are 3 or 4 steep steps up to the house, with no hand rail.
