It is only a short walk along the south west coast path from the picturesque, fishing village of Mevagissey with its many amenities, shops and restaurants. There is a free slipway so it is an ideal location for boating, paddle boarding and kayaking, and is ideal for fishing and crabbing. The sandy beach is suitable for swimming, paddling and exploring the many rock pools left behind at low tide. There is a sea facing public house serving food and also a delightful beach facing cafe selling ice creams and light refreshments.
