Blakeney with its harbour, marshes and stunning scenery is a hotspot for a great coastal holiday. Within easy walking distance of the cottage there are several places to eat; a local delicatessen, a general store and the North Norfolk Coastal path can be easily picked up, which is great for birdwatching and walking. The walk to Morston on the coastal path is just over a mile and with a lunch at The Anchor when you get there, it is a lovely way to spend the day, as is a trip to see the local seal colony at Blakeney Point. The village also has some interesting art galleries, gift shops and The Blakeney Harbour Rooms has a growing reputation for showcasing some good tribute bands. This stunning diverse coast is recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are fantastic sandy beaches at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham with beautiful Holkham Hall and deer park also in the village, both a short drive away. In the summer visit Wiveton Hall - now a well-known landmark following the BBC's Normal for Norfolk programme. Stop in the cafe to admire the beautiful marsh views with a cup of tea and pick your own raspberries and strawberries from the fruit farm - it's all normal for Norfolk!

The cottage was everything we wanted. Cozy, convenient, well equipped. The bed was extremely comofrtable, we overslept a couple of times - also the benefit of lots of fresh air with cycling and coastal walks. Owners communicated really well.

A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. The cottage has everything you need for a family stay and is well equipped. The location is excellent and Blakeney Quay is stunning with a fabulous coffee shop on the quay to allow you to sit and drink in the view. The lack of parking is not an issue as the village car park is free and is literally down tRead morehe road. We unloaded the car outside the cottage and then moved the car. The kitchen is spacious and makes it easy to cook in the evening if you don't want to eat out. I would highly recommend this fabulous cottage and the superb hosts Hilary and Andrew. Hide

The location is absolutely perfect - just a short walk to the Norfolk Coast Path. The kitchen had absolutely everything one needs to cook on holiday. The fireplace can be seen in both the kitchen and living room, which was a treat. Everything was nicely decorated and exactly as described in the online brochure.

A well equipped cottage in a lovely village. Spotlessly clean. Traffic noise was a little off putting especially as we live in the middle of nowhere and arent used to it. Be aware that there is no parking at the property and you leave your car 500 meters or so away in the free village car park. Having to park with hazard lights on to offload persoRead morenal belongings every day was a nuisance and dangerous at times especially on such a busy road. The owners left us some delicious biscuits and milk with coffee, tea and sugar which was a nice treat after long days out. The deep bath and over head shower were great and a useful wc just off the rear entrance. Great location for travelling to all parts of Norfolk for days out. Hide
