Just a short level walk from the centre of the popular and vibrant village of Braunton. Puffin's Retreat is a deceptively spacious modern home tucked away in a quieter part of the village. Having been recently renovated the accommodation offers pristine decor, attractive and comfortable furnishing as well as  high quality fixtures and fittings. The entrance hall leads through to a spacious open plan living area with a comfy corner suit and easy chairs, a woodburner for the cooler evenings and large patio doors that extends the living space onto a fully enclosed patio ideal for relaxation and alfresco dining. The kitchen diner opens out from the living area with a fully integrated shiny white kitchen and modern dining suit providing all you will need for preparing that special meal and a great space for a good family breakfast that can be enjoyed whilst planning the day ahead.  On the first floor  three attractive bedrooms include two doubles each with fitted wardrobes and a twin bedded room with sloping ceiling and velux windows.  A newly fitted bathroom includes a P shaped bath with rain shower over and further facilities are provided by a ground floor cloakroom with WC and basin. The large village of Braunton offers a great choice of restaurants, cafes, and pubs as well as many individual shops. The Tarka trail that follows the route of the old railway runs through the village and provides miles of footpaths and cycleways(cycle hire available in the village) around the Taw Estuary towards the  market town of Barnstaple and further on to the watersport centre of Instow and the Elizabethan Port town of Bideford. For those wishing to enjoy the beautiful sandy surfing beaches along the golden coast of North Devon the 3 mile expanse of Saunton Sands backed by the sand dunes system of Braunton Burrows (part of the North Devon Biosphere) is just 2 miles away and the large sandy bay of Croyde just a further 2 miles on.

Great cottage very well equipped and clean. Bonus to have parking and an enclosed garden. Would certainly recommend. The neighbour was very friendly and put the dustbins away for us too. Plenty of places to eat out and a good butchers . A lovely area to explore.

Lovely clean modern property with a well equipped kitchen. Also loved the log burner making Christmas very cosy. Only a 10 minute drive from Saunton sands which is stunning and a lovely dog walk. Braunton has all you need with a Tesco and various other shops including some great dog friendly pubs and a chippy. Also a great walk down the River Caen Read morewith dogs only 2 mins from the property. Overall a lovely stay. Hide

A very nice homely property with all the facilities you need for a pleasant holiday. Everything was very clean and tidy on arrival. The beds were very comfortable. The village/small town is a three minute walk away and has a good range of shops and restaurants. It makes a really good base from which to explore this area. Having a NT property and RHRead moreS Rosemoor gardens both easily accessible is a real plus. The neighbours and people in the village were all very friendly and helpful. I would definitely visit again (but next time I would avoid Ilfracombe). Hide

This is a very spacious house and well presented, with everything you could need for your stay. The location in the village is excellent, with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.

A really spacious and comfortable holiday home with everything you will need. Great location, walkable to a big supermarket in Braunton and close for Croyde, Saunton and Woolacombe beaches all no more than 20 minute drive. We hired bikes from a company 5 min drive away and did the Tarka Trail highly recommend it.

Property in a nice position for Braunton and areas. Everything you could need was in the property and extremely comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Good quality bedding and towels which were nice. Lovely attention to detail throughout.

Nice modern property in a good location in central Braunton, Convenient for pubs restaurants and shops. Buses available locally to Ilfracombe and Croyde if wanting a day out without the car.

A lovely and modern place to stay and well maintained. All you can ask for with utensils, kitchen equipment etc. The bedrooms are airy with comfy beds. You would never know that our furry friends are allowed to stay as cleaned to an exceptional standard throughout. Parking near to house. A two minute walk into Braunton to visit shops, restaurants aRead morend pubs, all very friendly. An ideal base for visiting Woolacombe, Westward Ho, Saunton Sands and Croyde.
