The Snug is a quirky character cottage and has recently been renovated to a high standard, the owner’s attention to detail shows at every turn.  The cottage is located on a slight incline a couple of minutes' walk from the popular pubs, tea rooms and shops in the bustling market town of Hawes.  This quaint cottage benefits from an open fire in the lounge, a flagstone flooring on the ground floor, ceiling beams and exposed stone walls giving the cottage a lovely cosy feel.  There is a newly fitted kitchen which is very well equipped.  The is a small patio area to the front of the cottage where you can sit out and enjoy the sunshine. The Snug is an ideal cottage from where to enjoy all that the Yorkshire Dales has to offer.

GROUND FLOOR:
Entrance:
 Door to hallway, stone flagged floor, stone stairs to first floor.
Lounge: Feature fireplace with open fire (welcome pack of fuel provided), TV with Freeview, leather sofas, chair, stone flagged floor. 
Kitchen/Diner:  Electric hob, oven, grill, fridge, dishwasher, microwave,  dining table and chairs, views over churchyard. 12 stone steps to first floor.

FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom 1:
 Double bed, wardrobe, window seat, beamed ceiling.
Bedroom 2: Double bed, wardrobe, window seat, beamed ceiling, shuttered window to the front. 
Bathroom: 5-foot bath with electric shower over, washbasin. 
Cloakroom: Washbasin, toilet.

Pets: One dog welcome.
Parking: You can park on the area outside the cottage, however it is limited, please do not block access.  Alternatively, there is a car park on the right-hand side just after the bridge as you enter Hawes.  Please do not park on the flagged area on the property to the right-hand side of the cottage .  Further free parking in the car park or on the cobbles outside the shops 50 yards away.
Heating: Open fire (welcome pack of fuel provided), electric central heating.
Outside/Patio:  Paved area to the front of the cottage.
Short Breaks: Short breaks accepted all year.
Notes: Towels are provided, Unlimited WiFi is available free of charge. No smoking at this property. Mobile phone signal is strong. Please note the approach to the property has a sharp left hand turn doubling back on yourself over a cobbled and rough tarmacked road for approximately 10 yards.
Shop: 0.1 miles. Pub: 0.1 miles.

The Snug is a great base for a holiday in Hawes - even when it was freezing out, the cottage lived up to its apt name. Well stocked with useful equipment - the open fire made it a pleasure to return on cold days. Beds and furniture are very comfy and there are many welcoming provisions (and some nice little treats). Great location - at the heart oRead moref the village, with shops and (dog friendly) pubs right on the doorstep. Our favourites were The White Hart, The Fountain and The Green Dragon at Hardraw. Loads of great walks straight out of Hawes too - to suit any level of difficulty. We really enjoyed our stay. Hide
