Overstrand is an attractive village on the North Norfolk coast, a ramp leads down to a sandy beach, great for beach games or a swim. Take one of our favourite walks along the beach to Cromer and then return as the tide is coming in on the path along the cliff top, passing the lighthouse on the way. The village has a variety of shops and pubs, is close to Cromer with its award winning Pier, cinema and other facilities. The area is great for exploring the north and east coast beaches, walking the cliff path, various inland cycle routes and walks, and for visiting the nearby historic houses of Felbrigg and Blickling Hall both run by the National Trust. Overstrand is an oasis of calm in a busy world but the delights of Cromer and Norwich are only a short drive away if you are in need of some retail therapy.

A delightful roomy property with the most fantastic views. East Dene has plenty of parking space, a great garden and everything that you need for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. The cottage / house is in a lovely village location, 2 minutes walk down to the glorious beach and 2 minutes walk in the other direction to the village pub (where the roast dinner we had was exceptional). The house is large and spacious and light and the garden deceptively larger than you may first think - we had great weather so the outdoor space Read morewas a nice suntrap and gave plenty of room to either sit on your own and relax or socialise with others. We were a party of 8 with 6 adults and two children and one dog and the dining area was large enough to accompany us to all sit and eat together which is exactly what we wanted. Cromer is accessible easily by bus or by a 1 1/2 hour walk along the beach (we walked that easily and got the bus back!), Sherringham is 20 minutes away by car and the broads are 30 minutes away at Potter Heigham. All in all we loved our stay and it's definately a property we would use again down to the location, space on offer and homely feel it presented for us. Hide

We had a lovely stay over Easter. Lovely location and very well equipped house. The majority of the house was very comfortable and well set up for children. The only downside was the damp feel and smell on the top floor despite adhering to the strict instructions to keep windows and doors open all the time.
