Southwold Pier Area - It is often said that nothing changes in Southwold. However, the much-acclaimed pier was rebuilt in 2001 and was the first to be constructed in England in over fifty years. It now fits in well with the painted beach huts, promenade and colourful flowerbeds. There is a shop, cafes and an alternative amusement arcade there. The selection of properties' hereabouts makes it an ideal location to stay in Southwold if you require quiet accommodation that is also close to the beach, town centre and the many footpaths across the marshes leading you to the less explored areas of the town.

The property is in a great location - two minutes from the pier and beach. It's a nice family size home. We would definitely return if there were tweeks to the cleanliness and, due to my husband's mobility, handrails in the downstairs ensuite bedroom. We really enjoyed our week there.

The cottage is nice, a good size and location. Lovely ground floor bedroom with en suite and lovely bathroom with quick- filling bath. Plent of wardrobes. Just need to fix the front door lock, the freezer defrosted and provide kitchen scissors and bin bags as I had to buy these.

Was a good property in a very good location. Off road parking helpful. We liked the style of this place, the beds were v comfortable & clean but in general property needed a little extra tlc & cleaning was below standard. However we enjoyed our stay.

Well-equipped, on the retro trend, and brilliantly located within 3 minutes of the beach. House is large, airy and light - great for family gatherings. Decoration is a little tired in places and the outside (garden and decking) would benefit from some attention. 10/10 for character and location. A little less for swank.

We were very comfortable in this interesting 70s house with decor and furniture to match. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern, excellent showers. The location is very good being so near the pier and the front. Really enjoyed our week here with family and friends.

The property was as described. Although the weather was lovely we didn't want to sit around lawned area because shrubs were overgrown. We thought it would have been nice to have seating on decking outside upstairs area. Few negatives were thin, rough towels, not fluffy at all. Bedding didn't smell fresh & hole in seam of one quilt cover. Several hoRead moreurs after using hob the bottom left gas hob made igniting noises even though the hob wasn't in use, this happened a few times. Dust and cobwebs under both settees. Well equipped and spacious property but unfortunately some negatives. Hide
