Sandcastle Cottage benefits from 3 good size bedrooms, with a lovely light master bedroom at the front with superking bed and TV. During the school holidays and weekends you may wish to sit here and watch the resident horse and carriage clip-clop past on a tour of the town - great entertainment for all ages. Teenagers will love going for an 'explore' in the town itself (a 5 minute walk from the cottage); perhaps buying an ice cream from around the corner, or browsing the selection of independent and high street shops. With two small supermarkets within walking distance, why not have a barbecue? Open up the kitchen and dining room doors onto the enclosed sunny courtyard and sit back and enjoy. Not forgetting days spent down by the sea - with a separate utility room, swimming costumes and beach equipment can be stored and dried out of the way of the main house.

Why we love this property - Sandcastle Cottage was made for families and friends. The ground floor sitting and dining room are perfect for relaxing and playing games, whilst easy access to the shops and seafront make it ideal for those wanting a 'car-free' holiday.

Shower Room: WC, basin, shower unit and heated towel rail. 
Bedroom 3: Twin beds with chest of drawers and radio.
Family Bathroom: WC, basin and bath with overhead shower. 

Garden: Pretty courtyard at the rear of the property with garden furniture plus a gas barbecue. The utility room is accessed via the courtyard. 
Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer and sink.

Southwold Central - The properties located in central Southwold are all within minutes of the market place, with the elegant Swan Hotel, an excellent range of small shops including a greengrocers with fresh local produce, family butcher and delicatessen. The upper promenade is ideal for a peaceful stroll at any time of the year and provides quick access to the beach and of course, the lighthouse in the town is a good landmark. There is also easy access to the common and a nearby footpath takes you down to the harbour with the foot ferry to Walberswick (summer only). Don't forget that the beach is never very far away!

What a beautiful cottage. So well located, very short walk to beach and town, yet so peaceful. The cottage is well equipped and very charming. I really loved it there!

Our second visit to Sandcastle cottage. Hope to return in future. It is home from home. Great location few yards from sea. Spacious and comfortable and lovely courtyard for sunny days.

A great location, walkable to everything, and a well equipped house, with rare outside space in Southwold. Often in Southwold a 3 bed will have one tiny room, but all three bedrooms here are doubles. We will definitely rent again.
