The lodge is beautifully presented with quality furnishings, fittings and fabrics. It benefits from an enclosed wrap-around deck to 2 sides with the south facing deck fully furnished for lounging or eating alfresco. Puffin lodge is set in an exclusive walled and gated small development called The Pines and has two private parking spaces. It is only a 5-minute walk to the coast and the Cleveland way or a 10 minute walk through the village to the sandy beach.
Runswick bay has two pubs and a hotel all offering good homemade food and two with beautiful sea views from the beer gardens. At the beach, there is a wide range of facilities including public toilets, car parking, café, and kayaks/stand-up paddle boards for hire in the summer months.

Wonderful place to stay, peaceful yet close enough to explore the beautiful coastline. Lots of information provided on the surrounding area and a much appreciated welcome pack including milk for a cuppa and an ice lolly. Plenty of room for 6 to eat and relax - would definitely stay again

The lodge is part of a quiet development in the top village of Runswick Bay. We have stayed many times in the lower village before but this time we were with my 93 year old father who has some mobility issues so a lodge was more suitable for him. The showers were great and the lodge was warm and comfortable. The only things that let it down was thaRead moret some of the crockery was chipped and the glasses and cutlery were a mix of mismatched items. There are many places to visit nearby and also several pubs if you dont want to cook. Hide
