Situated just a 5/10 minute walk from the High Street in an elevated position on your approach to the town stands 3 Alde Lane. This cute-as-a-button former fisherman's cottage is utterly charming and ideal for a retreat to the seaside. 3 Alde Lane gives a nod to its' coastal connection, whilst still providing a comfortable and homely place to make your base on your next self-catering holiday to Suffolk.
The front door opens onto a hallway with coat hooks and straight staircase to the first floor. The sitting room, although cosy in size, has a futon style sofa bed and armchair centring around the feature fireplace and Smart TV. An open doorway from the sitting room leads out to the kitchen/diner. Newly fitted units house a good selection of crockery and wares, whilst there is also a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave tucked around the corner!
Upstairs, the cuteness continues. Being a period cottage, you may expect some low ceilings or sloping floors and the owners have configured the space effectively to provide you with a good balance of space and practicality. The master bedroom with double bed has a feature fireplace and small TV, as well as a built in wardrobe - perfect for storing suitcases. The single room is great for a child or teenager - it might be a box room but it's still very comfortable! The first floor also houses the shower room.
Outside you'll find a shared courtyard - a great place for a coffee outside, or even a barbecue! But we doubt you'll be in the cottage very long as you are so close to the beach! If you're new to Aldeburgh you can either explore the town via the roadside footpath down past the church, or down the famous town steps - both routes give a fantastic view of the sea. The high street is made up of a delightful array of independent shops and eateries; you'll be spoilt for choice!

Aldeburgh, home of the famous Aldeburgh Festival of Music, is a charming, historic seaside resort with many fine Georgian buildings. The town was a medieval fishing centre and fishermen still draw their boats onto the shingle beach to sell their catches. The area around Aldeburgh reflects the unspoilt nature of the Suffolk coast and only two miles along the shore is the unusual coastal village of Thorpeness, with its picturesque mere and excellent golf course. The town has a good selection of shops and eateries.
