Overstrand is a beautiful spot on the Norfolk coast with an array of interesting Edwardian buildings which gives the village its grace and charm. Still a reasonably undiscovered area there are good walks to be had along the vast stretches of golden, sandy beach by the sea or for a more bracing clifftop walk try the Norfolk Coastal Path, which hugs the coast and offers some fabulous views. The village has a quaint shop, a good pub and also boasts a wonderful café with sea views. The rest of the north Norfolk is at your beck and call with the delightful Victorian town of Cromer nearby, which features an iconic Pier with shows at the theatre, a cinema, golf club and much more besides; there are also rail links to Norwich from the town if you are looking for a cultural day out with a bit of retail therapy! The National Trust properties of Blicking Hall and Felbrigg are both reasonably close by and a wander round the elegant Georgian town of Holt is an exploration not to be missed with its boutiques, independent shopping, food hall, coffee shop culture, antique showrooms and art galleries.
