Fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from their picturesque huts. The wide, mainly Georgian high street has many attractive buildings whilst the seafront properties all have commanding views of the beach and the North Sea. Very well situated cottage to appreciate all that Aldeburgh has to offer! Quirky but comfortable and well equipped with most items needed during a stay. Be aware of the staircase & landings in such a property, for those with mobility issues or tall people. Also, there is only one shower available in the downstairs bathroom. The owners have taken a Read morelot of trouble to provide enough detailed information to make the stay as comfortable & hassle-free as possible. Hide

This is the third time we have stayed here and will return again this year. The cottage is yards from the sea front and under a minute from the centre of the high street with access to several restaurants, an excellent deli, a Co-op and numerous stores. The Cross Keys pub it two minutes walk away. The independent cinema and wonderful Aldeburgh BookRead moreshop under five minutes stroll. The cottage is very comfortable but bear in mind that it is an old building and is set on several levels with steps and stairs. This would make it unsuitable for those with mobility issues. The living room, on the first floor, is comfort and has French windows overlooking the beach. Beds are comfortable and linen is clean and fresh. The kitchen, on the ground floor is well equipped and convenient. The bathroom, also ground floor is of a high spec. There are two pay and display/Ringo car parks opposite, which are reasonably priced, with a maximum star of 4 hours. Payment hours. are 08:00 to 18:00. However, it is usually possible to park for free in the road outside the cottage. Its a lovey place to stay. Hide

Very pleasantly furnished and well-equipped. Good bathroom. Lovely upstairs sitting room. As in many older properties ceiling heights and low doorways can be an issue but there are reminders and our 6'5" son managed fine.

In an exceptionally good position with sea views and central for access to the high street, the cottage is clean, well appointed and well equipped. Having visited twice we have booked for next year.
