The Cottage is an unusually light, refurbished stone cottage tucked away in a quiet, secluded corner of the village, yet only yards from the water and the excellent Shipwrights Arms pub.  It's just a 3-minutes walk to Helford point and the ferry.

The Cottage comes with its own all-tide mooring at Potter’s pontoon, 3-minutes walk away, available for use by guests with their own boat for an extra charge.

From the charming and private enclosed patio, the front door opens into the large living/dining room featuring beamed ceilings, a stone fireplace with wood-burner, oak floor, comfy dark blue sofa and 3 armchairs, as well as a flat screen smart TV and a small cupboard full of board games.

The bespoke kitchen in blue and ivory is beyond the dining area, and includes a microwave and dishwasher, a slate floor with under-floor heating, and a breakfast bar overlooking the river. There is a utility room next to the Kitchen, perfect for storing coats and muddy boots, with a Belfast sink, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, and second fridge.

Upstairs is a lovely duck-egg blue family bathroom with bath and overhead shower, double bedroom with beautiful river views, a spacious master bedroom with luxurious 6’ bed and a nautically-themed bunk-room with full-length 2’6” wide beds and small selection of toys in the under-bed storage drawers. Please note that the master bedroom is accessed via the bunk-room.

Outside there is a sheltered sun trap patio, capturing the morning and afternoon sunshine, running the length of the property with garden furniture, and an Outhouse with a second loo and basin, plus hanging space for wetsuits or wet towels. There is an outside hot water shower on the patio, ideal for sandy wet-suits and kids. There is private parking for two cars 50 yards beyond The Cottage.

Such a cosy and beautiful cottage - no musty damp cottage here! It has warmth and charm in abundance. Its really close to the waters edge in this stunning village - highly recommend The Shipwrights for a sundowner. Plenty of great walks from the cottage. Just wonderful.
