Property code: OC-TRIPOL

A spacious coastal home perfectly suited to a large group with panoramic ocean views across the bay. This detached house is in a prime waterfront location on Loe Bar Road, which leads directly to the South West Coast Path and on to a scenic walk through woodland at the Penrose Estate. Porthleven is a harbour town and has a buzz of activity throughout the year with an excellent range of local restaurants nestled around the harbour offering a delicious variety of food styles. Crabbing off the slipway or kayaking in the harbour are just some of the activities to enjoy. Rock pooling or bodyboarding at the sandy beach provide family fun and boat trips can be booked locally. A little further afield is the historic St Michael’s Mount in Marazion (8.1 miles) and stunning Kynance Cove on the Lizard Peninsula (14.3 miles) with its clear turquoise waters and rock formations.

Open the front door of this sprawling home and enter a traditional hallway with stairs to the first floor and an adjoining hallway leading to the ground floor bedrooms and bathrooms. The useful utility room on this level is ideal for offloading beach gear, walking boots and dogs and serves as a laundry room, housing the washing machine, tumble dryer and additional fridge for those essential supplies. A sociable kitchen and dining room to the front incorporates a large dining table to gather round and enjoy extended mealtimes together and with natural daylight flooding in due to the south-facing position, it feels bright and welcoming. Along the hallway is the private bedroom wing arranged as two king bedrooms with en suites, two twin bedrooms and a separate bathroom. All rooms are of a generous size and provide good storage and comfort. Upstairs is a further double bedroom with en suite and enticing, unrestricted sea views. Listen to the sound of the sea lapping against the rocks whilst you drift off to sleep at night. This floor is also home to the large living room and a place to sink into the stylish sofas for conversations or movie nights. The feature electric fire creates a cosy glow on darker evenings and on bright days, throw open the door to the Juliet balcony and let the fresh sea air drift in. On a clear day, you may be lucky enough to spot a pod of dolphins or the odd seal swimming by as you stand and gaze at the beauty of the ocean before you.

Venturing outside to the paved terrace with the most delightful and far-reaching sea views, the garden furniture and a barbecue makes for a great sociable area to relax and unwind. The games room by the terrace houses a pool table and is perfect for creating some competitive family fun across the generations.

The property was excellent overall. Very spacious. Plenty of kitchen equipment for family meals etc. Fabulous location and fantastic views. Excellent parking and outside space. Bedroom layouts were very good and having 4 bathrooms was a bonus where there is a larger group. This property suited all ages.

The house is large and comfortable and in a fabulous location. It is 10 minutes walk down to the harbour but far enough out to be quiet and peaceful. There is lots of parking and a large garden. The inside of the property is well equipped and cosy. A few things could do with a touch up but this really did not affect our holiday at all. I would defiRead morenitely recommend this property for a large group wanting to stay in Porthleven. Hide

We had a lovely stay at Tripolitania. The house is very spacious and comfortable. The views are incredible and the location couldnt be better just a short walk down to Porthleven harbour. Weve stayed before and would stay here again. Its not modern but has lots of character and made for a lovely base for our family holiday.

The living accommodation was excellent with decent fixtures and fittings. The beds were comfortable and the sofas in the lounge were very comfortable. The property was well cleaned. The outside space would be excellent during better weather as it is quite extensive. There is plenty of parking space. Great location with great views but a very tired property that could do with a lot of maintenance to make it a great property. Also wasn't made aware there was building works going on behind the property from 8.15 in the morning everyday.

The property is advertised as 3 double bedrooms en suite but in fact one of the double bedrooms shares a bathroom (jack & gill style) with a twin bedroom.
