If magnificent scenery and rugged coastlines are what you are looking for in a holiday then Will's Cottage is ideal. Located in the peaceful village of Trewellard it is a 5 minute walk to the coastpath, 5 minutes drive from Pendeen lighthouse and beautiful undiscovered Portheras Cove, and 15 minutes drive from both St Ives, Sennen Cove and Lands End. This traditional granite cottage is perfectly placed for exploring the natural beauty West Cornwall has to offer. Owned by photographer Jen Rogers the cottage is packed with fabulous local photographs and advice on local photographic locations.

A cosy lounge welcomes you with comfortable seating, Smart TV and wooden flooring throughout, which leads on to the dining room and then on to a well equipped kitchen breakfast room with access out to the rear courtyard.

Upstairs to the front of the cottage is a pretty twin room with plenty of wardrobe space and a window seat. The family bathroom with shower can also be found on this floor. To the rear of the cottage is the master bedroom with king sized bed and ensuite shower room. Magnificent views out to sea can be enjoyed from this room and on a clear day the Isles of Scilly can even be seen in the distance.

To the front of the cottage there is parking for one car on the driveway and to the rear of the cottage is an enclosed courtyard with BBQ and seating which can also be accessed from a rear pathway.

Will's Cottage is just a 5 min walk from the spectacular coastal path and the National Trust working beam engine at Levant Mine where scenes from the popular series Poldark were filmed. Crown Mines are 20min walk and the stunning cliffs at Bosigran with it's ruined castle about 50 min walk.

The excellent Trewellard Arms is 50m away and The North Inn which does delicious curries is 300m. There's also a Meadery, fish & chip shop, pottery and village shop within walking distance. Will's Cottage situated in perfect walking country and a great base to explore West Cornwall.

The cottage is lovely and a great location. Benefits from off road parking. A key for the rear door would be useful - allowing exit to walk the dog. The en-suite to the main bedroom is very small. I was not able to use the toilet due to the very narrow space. I am not a particularly large person but sitting on the toilet was impossible. We were disappointed with this cottage as it needed tlc. En suite wc is virtually unusable due to being jammed in an extremely narrow place. Cooker control panel is worn out and has faded pen markings showing what is what but hard to read. Wheelie bin was overflowing when we arrived and stayed that way all week. Bathrooms very dated with some mouldRead more growth. On the plus side its a good location and cottage has a lot of space and kitchen equipment. We would not return. Hide

Great cottage for exploring this corner of Cornwall with everything it has to offer from historic mines to amazing scenery and far more than we managed to see in one visit. An extended original "miner's cottage" there was a great connection to the past we wanted to investigate in the area. Great food at the local Trewellard Arms and at Geevor Mine Read moreamong many other locations. For those wanting to explore the mining heritage, having three major mines practically on the doorstep, and within walking distance if you try a bit, is great and you can watch sunsets over the mine heads and stacks from the cottage. Visitors with dogs may want to be careful of the local cats who like to sun on the courtyard wall, but cat lovers will need to avoid adopting the bravest who will try to come in if you leave the back door open. Maybe not great if you have a large car, but them most roads around that part of Cornwall are better suited to small cars anyway. The road outside can get you fretting about getting in and out unless you are confident getting in and out of a fairly blind turn into a narrow road or turning the car within the shared parking area. Don't see that as an issue with the cottage though, it's the nature of Cornwall and a world which remains much unchanged since before cards existed - take the chance to live a different life for a while. Cute, convenient and comfy. The location is perfect for walking the coast path. Nice secure back yard for the dogs. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms are cosy.
