The Anchorage is a very nice property in a great location. Its ideal for the town as just off the main street but very quiet. Lots of great walks close by and just a short walk to the ferry to get over to St Mawes. Theres a nice walk around the peninsula past Pendennis Castle - also worth a visit. There are some beautiful gardens not too far awRead moreay and really worth a visit. Visit to the maritime museum, its really interesting. The parking was fine for us - we have a Mazda CX5 and only us staying. You could really only get two small cars in the allocated parking but you can get a weeks ticket in the car park which isnt too expensive and an option. Great view overlooking the sea, plenty going on. Owner very responsive. Hide

The view from the property is amazing. We had a couple of issues which we addressed but enjoyed the stay and thought Falmouth is a very well appointed town. Its a very Good location for exploring the southern area of Cornwall and if the weather is bad there is always something to see from the balcony or entrance viewing window. A good tip is to notRead more have a big car. I had hired a Volvo xc60 SUV and worried about losing my excess deposit. Pay close heed to the directions as it is very easy to miss the turning (twice!) We loved our stay in Falmouth and very much enjoyed the location and views from the anchorage. The property needs some tlc to ensure that everything is working (the cooker), rubbish collected etc. If this could be actioned then it would be great.

Lovely property. Parking very tight and only suitable for one car. So much to do in Falmouth. Lots of independent shops and restaurants as well as award winning fish and chips. Fantastic vegan fish on offer.
