Located on Mount Pleasant Road in Porthleven, the property looks out over the iconic clock tower on the harbours edge with furnishings inspired by mid-century St Ives artists and original artworks by local artists throughout. On the first floor is the spacious living area with open fire and stunning sea views, along with the master bedroom and family bathroom.

Porthleven is a bustling fishing harbour in West Cornwall and offers a great selection of restaurants, shops and pubs that are open all year round. We had an absolutely wonderful stay. A charming and cosy cottage with the most fabulous sea views. Many mornings spend watching the waves from the kitchen and evenings in front of the fire. Walkable to all the great eateries in Porthleven and coast path trails and beaches. We will certainly be returning.

This is a beautiful, cosy, well positioned & well equipped Cottage. The front windows and cottage garden are fabulous for watching the sea. It's perfectly positioned to either take a short walk down to the harbour and town of Porthleven or to walk the South West Coastal Path. We loved it here - Thank you.

Cottage is in the perfect location with amazing views and a parking space. Well equipped and we loved the owners art and pottery collections. This is an old stone cottage, do not book if you want a sleek, minimalist property. This is a well loved cosy family owned home. Would definitely book again.

We chose this property after staying next-door last year as it had a garden. Apart from the garden we found the property in dire need of redecorating especially the kitchen The damp that they know about(from previous reviews) has had nothing done to alleviate it,probably revenue is more important than the smell when you open the door for the first Read moretime. Response from Holiday Cottages - Thank you for your feedback. New windows are being fitted, and damp proofing has been completed. Hide

Position of the cottage is amazing, love the quirkiness of the furniture and the paintings around the house are fabulous! Unfortunately, there was a very strange smell in the kitchen by the fridge freezer and some of the cupboards smelt damp, this didn't spoil our stay though!

This cottage has the best view, the secret garden looks over towards The Lizard, & a big bonus for Porthleven it has a parking space. It is a gorgeous, long loved family home and I really appreciate it.

We stayed at this property two years ago and commented then that St Michael's needed a revamp. On this occasion, we found that nothing had been done apart from a new TV and EE box. Which I will return to that shortly. The overall feel for the place is dowdy and back in the 60s. Here are a few examples, Kitchin floor looks dirty all the time, Work SRead moreurfaces are chipped and not very hygienic looking, Drawers are stiff and knobs falling off. Shelves filled with useless ornaments (tat) when space is needed for storage. Kitchin taps stiff and constant dripping Door to upstairs bedroom has two sharp screwrs sticking out that are dangerous. Bedroom, wallpaper, dirty and very dated, bedroom furniture worn out being dirty and stained and knobs falling off. The bed ok and comfortable. The carpets are shabby and stained. Bathroom, very dated and shabby, tiling very old and grouting stained, some tiles loose. taps worn out, stiff and dripping. Same findings in downstairs toilet, Downstairs Bedroom, same as upstairs, furniture is old and worn out. Lounge chairs and sofa are very dated and uncomfortable, trying to make up for it with far too many cushions. Again, far too much tat and charity shop pictures. Had constant problems with TV and phoned the housekeeper and the owner, who promised to get the other partner to phone me. That never happened. After a few days, I messaged them again to be informed you had contacted BT and they they had done a reboot. This did not cure the problem, and I had no follow-up call from them again to check if the TV was working. if I hadn't had my laptop with me and could plug in to the TV via HDMI and the capability to do this, we would have had no TV and no follow-up call from you. In general, St Michael's is in a wonderful position and has the benefit of parking. However, in comparison to the many other rentals I have stayed in, in PL, this place needs a total refurbishment and re-furniture to bring it to acceptable standards. The location of the property is superb; very conveniently situated with wonderful sea views and very handy for the coastal path if you like walking. The designated parking space was a bonus too. We were lucky enough to spot choughs and seals on our walks along the path. The cottage was well equipped and warm and cosy in the evenings. However it isRead more in need of a little updating. There were dripping and leaky taps that needed a lot of turning to get them to stop. The upstairs bedroom could do with a refresh as well. The only shower is downstairs and was a bit inconvenient as trotting through the kitchen to get to it was not ideal. We appreciate though that the scope for an upstairs shower might be a bit limited given the height of the ceiling. There was a bit of a strange smell in the kitchen too but as we were here in March it may be that the cottage just needs airing after winter. Having said all this it didnt spoil our holiday at all as Porthleven is such a beautiful place to visit. We went home feeling very rested! There were things that could have been better e.g. the damp smell in the downstairs bedroom and the condensation on the rear windows. So some 'tlc' is obviously needed. However, it is an old property and it is November so windows could not be left open to compensate. The television did not work through the hub but it worked through the Samsung scRead morereen on IPlayer. Having commented on what we thought could be improved, we must say that we really did enjoy the week - particularly as the weather was kind to us and we could use the garden with its 'amazing views' every day. The cottage is also quaint and has a quiet calm to it - which we found most refreshing. Hide

This is a lovely cottage that we have been returning to over a number of year. It has a great location with lovely sea views and parking for a single car on a road on which it would otherwise be be difficult to park. It has a well equipped kitchen for when we want to cook in but easy access to a good range of resturants and pubs around the harbouRead morer when we don't. The main downside to this cottage is that is now starting to look tired and in need of some well deserving TLC. Hide
