Property code: OC-BADGER

Badgers Brook has plenty of space for a family of four plus two dogs – both inside and out. Situated on the edge of the pretty Exmoor village of Dulverton, this large bungalow overlooks the surrounding fields and countryside yet is just a short walk into the village with its pubs, supermarket, restaurants, tea rooms and art gallery. The spacious lounge is dual aspect and benefits from a log-effect electric fire to compliment the oil central heating on chillier evenings, whilst the dining room which is accessed via an archway from the lounge is great for more formal dining. A door from the dining room leads into a cosy conservatory which overlooks the garden and surrounding countryside. From the conservatory, sliding patio doors lead out onto a patio which catches the sun most of the day. Both the bedrooms are of a good size and both have large windows overlooking the garden.  A good sized shower room offers a large walk in shower, WC and basin. Outside, the extensive garden has a small unfenced stream running alongside one of the borders and plenty of space for children and four-legged friends to run freely. The village of Dulverton, known as the Southern gateway to Exmoor, is just a 10 minute walk away from Badgers Brook. It stands between the rivers Barle and Exe which converge a mile or so down the valley and has several streets of shops including a butcher, bank, Post Office, fish & chip shop, greengrocer, late-opening supermarket, restaurants, art gallery, hairdressers and a fishing tackle shop. The village is also home to the headquarters of the Exmoor National Park Authority and Visitor Centre, which is situated in the library and is well worth a visit. Around the back of the library, is the Guildhall Heritage and Arts Centre which is open seven days a week from early April to the end of October (with free admission) and gives visitors a taste of old Dulverton.

A lovely holiday cottage in a beautiful location. Needs a bit of updating and it would be perfect.

At the end of a very quiet Cul de sac as you enter Dulverton . Lovely plot and beautiful garden, all open though so bear this in mind if taking dogs . A very dated property thats in desperate need of some modernisation. Nice fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Good central heating system . We had to leave early as Beds were so uncomfortable, came Read moreaway with a very bad back . About a 15 to 20 minute walk into Town either down the road with no pavements or through the housing estate. Dulverton is in a valley surrounded by very steep hills . A very quiet little town with not much going on . A couple of pubs and a few coffee shops . Was very disappointed with the dog walking. Nowhere to let them off . No decent footpaths other than through houses . No river walk . The woods were up a very steep hill . Probably ok for people hiking through to other places . Had to go in the car everywhere. Would not return. Hide

As in previous visits we enjoyed a relaxing week in a beautiful and spotlessly clean bungalow in a great location. Thank you for the welcome pack which was beyond expectations although we didnt eat the dog biscuits. The new central heating system will be a welcome improvement in the cooler months.

The bungalow was very well appointed, spacious and comfortable. The position at the end of right road gave privacy and a very nice outlook over the countryside beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We have now stayed at Badgers Brook 3 times. the first two in September and this time at the end of May. We like walking from several locations around Dulverton. The house is well maintained and comfortable. The gardens too are very well looked after. There is plenty of cupboard space in the well equipped kitchen so everything can be put away.

The property was very clean and well presented. We enjoyed a daily visit from Phil and Phyllis (pheasants). It is a peaceful and tranquil setting.

Very nice bungalow. Very comfortable. Bit out of the way we felt to get to places. Lovely village, used the coop quite a lot. The only thing was it was not secure for the dogs. After saying that I should have checked.
