Heylyn is set in a truly tranquil setting by the tidal creek at Little Petherick and boasts a large decking area at the back providing a delightful vantage for watching the wildlife or dining al fresco in the sunshine, with views of the river enjoyed from the sitting room, decking and bedroom 1. Heylyn is well equipped, comfortable and cosy with attractive decor and furnishings and is the perfect base for those who love walking and enjoy being close to nature as the Saints' Way passes your front door.

With a ladder (with lockable gate) that allows access to the river when the tide is in, it’s the perfect property for anyone who loves being close to the water and to nature, with the added benefit of being just 3 miles from Padstow and close to stunning sandy beaches in the seven bays. The Old Mill House Bistro is 200 yards walk, very handy for lunches, cream teas and an evening meal. In addition The Journeyman is excellent for a good curry and is only up the lane. You will be spoilt for choice in Padstow with a large selection of restaurants, cafes, shops and galleries and don’t forget to hire bikes and cycle to Wadebridge on the Camel trail.

GARDEN & PARKING: 1 designated parking space. Large decked terrace overlooking the creek, garden furniture for lounging and dining al fresco. Access to the creek from the car park - take care with young children as there are gaps in the railings outside the property.

Pets Welcome: Maximum 2; £25 per week per pet.  Information about bringing your pet. Please do not leave your dog unattended on the decking due to gaps between the rails. 
Power and Heat: Electricity included in rent; night storage heaters all main rooms; electric heated towel rails bath/shower rooms; hot water electric immersion.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided.  Please bring your own beach towels.

Information about mobile phone coverage.  Open tread spiral staircase from sitting area (winds in a tight turn - take care with the elderly and small children).  Limited access to the double bed on one side in bedroom 1 - please note you are unable to walk right around the bed due to space restrictions.  To take a kayak/canoe onto the river, you will need to carefully take it through the house, or access via the car park through a gate.

Lovely cottage in superb location. Great facilities - overlooking an estuary of the Camel. Parking nearby, lovely decking in sun trap, with great garden furniture. 2 bathrooms and nice functional kitchen. Would recommend.

Sadly the estuary that the cottage backs on to seems to have been polluted with sewage and wasnt suitable for paddling or kayaking all week. The beds were comfy and the property was well equipped.

Clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Two good-sized bathrooms. Delightful location on a quiet waterside with very pleasant outdoor area for breakfasting and relaxing. Good hot water and water pressure (an important if minor detail!)..

Heylyn is in a fabulous location very peaceful watching the wildlife and easy access to Padstow. It was lovely having a coffee in the morning on the bedroom balcony listening to the birds. We had no problems while staying there although if staying with small children the winding staircase might be a problem. Having said that would definitely recommRead moreend this property. Hide
