Gladstone is a stylish Grade II colonial style semi next door to the pub in the historic centre of Braunton. It is rumoured that Prime Minister William Gladstone stayed in the house during a visit to see relatives.

The ground floor features a large open plan living area, which incorporates the fully newly fitted equipped kitchen with quartz worktops, dining room and lounge, with spectacular bay window. Guests can see views of the neighbouring church when seated in the comfy furniture around the fireplace. An added bonus is a separate utility room with a freezer and washing machine. There is a wet room through a low door off the kitchen with a slate floor and Italian marble wall tiles. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, the double beyond an unusual footbridge and another main room with king sized bed and en-suite facilities at the front of the property. The balcony is just for decoration. There is no access. More steep stairs lead up to the low-roofed top floor where there is a twin room, snug and bathroom, with stylish slipper bath. Mind your head. There is a table and chairs on the front porch under the newly tiled veranda or for al fresco dining, there is a rear courtyard with a gravel patio and bench seating.

The Black Horse pub is next door and more pubs, shops and restaurants can be found in the village, a short walk along the level Tarka Trail cycle path. The nearest beach is Croyde just three miles west

We had a really lovely stay at Gladstone. What a beautiful home you have. The kitchen is gorgeous in particular and has every piece of equipment you could wish for. The sofas in the lounge are so comfortable and the beds are all completely lush! So much so, Im sure Goldilocks would have approved! Braunton is a lovely little village and we were thanRead morekful to be exactly opposite the church, which is open and free to look around. The pub next door is also lovely and really friendly. I imagine the village and lovely lanes would be so pretty at Christmas. Thank you for a fabulous stay. P.s, I had to be prized away from trying to sneak the unusual, stunning mirror in kitchen! Exceptional taste in decor. Cosy, cosy Hide

Well equipped cottage, excellent kitchen, comfortable beds, good location and within walking distance of all amenities, although the best pub in Braunton was probably the one next door, so look no further. Parking a bit hit and miss but not a real problem.

Cottage was lovely, warm and comfortable in a great location. Easy walk into the town. It was well equipped and warm, plenty of hot water and a huge bath for post walk relaxation.

Lovely location, well equipped cottage. Parking was not a major issue and we were able to park directly outside most days. Black Horse next door was great for food, nice quiet, friendly pub.

Comfortable and quiet location. Limited parking in very narrow local roads. However, having a pub next door was a bonus!

Really lovely property with lots of period features in great location, and walkable into town. Very comfortable with all required modern amenities. Owners were very responsive when we had a small issue with the cooker. Would recommend.

We loved Gladstone - such a comfortable house with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Spotlessly clean and smelled really fresh on arrival.
