Royal Tunbridge Wells is a short drive away and offers more extensive dining and shopping opportunities. This area of Sussex borders closely with Kent and has an abundance of National Trusts properties such as Bodiam and Scotney Castles and the beautiful gardens at Sissinghurst and Pashley Manor. There are golf course at Dale Hill and Lamberhurst and Bedgebury Pinetum is a wonderful place to wander through the ancient pine trees and there is also a Go Ape site for the more adventurous.
